🇮🇹 Dopo l'ACQUA💧 del Lago Zancone e la TERRA🌍 di Sostila, Domenica scorsa in compagnia degli amici di abbiamo abbracciato l'Elemento FUOCO🔥
Il calore accogliente del Rifugio Cristina, i suoi pizzoccheri fumanti e le risate contagiose, alimentate dalla genuina ospitalità alpina, hanno creato un'atmosfera indimenticabile.

E mentre Cristina ci deliziava con i suoi racconti, le storie e le leggende di questi luoghi da favola, Marco si dilettava ad imprigionare i dettagli di questa giornata nei suoi scatti.

Da buoni allievi, ci siamo lasciati rapire ed affascinare dalla loro passione, e senza renderci conto del trascorrere del tempo ci siamo improvvisamente trovati nella spettacolare atmosfera di un tramonto dai riflessi dorati.

La gioia negli occhi dei nostri compagni di avventura non ha fatto altro che renderci impazienti, nell'attesa di condividere con loro e con l'Elemento ARIA🌪 l'ultimo capitolo (per ora) di questa bellissima collaborazione!

🇬🇧 After the WATER💧 of Lake Zancone and the EARTH🌍 of Sostila, last Sunday in the company of our friends from , we embraced the FIRE🔥 Element. The welcoming warmth of the Cristina Refuge, its steaming pizzoccheri, and the contagious laughter, fueled by the genuine Alpine hospitality, created an unforgettable atmosphere.

And while Cristina delighted us with her stories, tales, and legends of these fairytale places, Marco indulged in capturing the details of this day in his shots.

As good students, we let ourselves be captivated and fascinated by their passion, and without realizing the passage of time, we suddenly found ourselves in the spectacular atmosphere of a sunset with golden reflections.

The joy in the eyes of our adventure companions only made us impatient, waiting to share with them and with the AIR🌪 Element the last chapter (for now) of this beautiful collaboration!

Saturday 22nd: simple snowshoe hike in the surroundings of Aprica, suitable especially for beginners who want to try a first approach with snowshoes
Sunday 23rd: the snowshoe hike remains simple, the scenery changes (Valmalenco and the Cristina Refuge where we will have lunch) and the collaboration (with Unavitadiscatti). A day dedicated to photographs (Marco's lens) and emotions (with Cristina's pen).

Double appointment in the bowels of the Earth with Max:

Sunday 23rd: at the Buso della Rana, in the karstic meanders of Monte di Malo (VI), the largest cave in Veneto where you don't have to be afraid of getting your hands dirty...and your feet wet
Wednesday 26th: we return to the Grotta Ferrera, in the magical world of the Grigne and Val Meria with its waterfalls and its beautiful panoramic balconies overlooking Lake Como.

🇮🇹 Una delle valli più incantevoli delle Alpi poteva mancare tra le nostre proposte?

Paesaggi da cartolina che si sveleranno ai nostri occhi man mano che ci addentreremo nella bellissima Val Roseg, in Alta Engadina, stretta tra alcune delle più alte cime delle Alpi Retiche ammantate dal bianco candore della neve.

Una passeggiata in un bellissimo bosco naturale dove la rispettosa presenza dell'uomo ha creato un equilibrio con la fauna del luogo difficilmente riscontrabile in altri posti.
Scoiattoli ed uccellini non hanno nessun timore infatti ad avvicinarsi e nutrirsi di ciò che gli offriamo.

E al termine del bosco, saranno le imponenti moli della triade Roseg-Scerscen-Bernina coi loro immensi ghiacciai a rimanere impresse per sempre nella nostra memoria.

🇮🇹 BREAKING NEWS!

Il WEEKEND IN BAITA diventa un appuntamento fisso!!!
Ogni mese vi daremo la possibilità di scappare dalla città per due giorni con una formula di sicuro successo!

Un giorno di cazzeggio ed uno di escursioni, con al centro una baita a 1500mt sulle Alpi Retiche della Media Valtellina, lontana da strade, inquinamento e rumori che non siano quelli che ci offre la natura in cui è avvolta.

Piccina ma accogliente, dotata del necessario e priva del superfluo, sarà la base dove rilassarsi ed il punto di partenza delle escursioni, più o meno impegnative in base al periodo ed alle condizioni climatiche.

Il primo giorno prepareremo insieme prelibatezze valtellinesi come la carne alla "piòda", la polenta taragna o i pizzoccheri, a seconda della stagione andremo in cerca di funghi e frutti di bosco, faremo semplici passeggiate nei dintorni o lasceremo semplicemente scorrere il tempo facendoci baciare dal sole sulla terrazza. La sera giocheremo a carte e giochi di società, l'assenza del wi-fi ci farà posare il telefonino e alimenterà la nostra voglia di chiacchierare, riscaldati dal crepitio della legna nella cucina economica.

E dopo un riposante sonno nella camera in legno partiremo carichi di energia verso la meta domenicale, un piccolo rifugio su un dosso panoramico o uno splendido laghetto, oppure saliremo su cime che sfiorano i 3000mt e che ci offriranno una vista impagabile su millemila montagne in un contesto di luoghi e sentieri "off the beaten path".

🇮🇹 SPELEOLOGI PER UN GIORNO!!!

Per gli amanti degli anfratti misteriosi abbiamo la proposta definitiva per voi: un’escursione in grotta al BUSO DELLA RANA, nota cavità ipogea che si sviluppa sotto l’altopiano del Faedo Casaron, nel comune di Monte di Malo in provincia di Vicenza.

Con i suoi 40km di sviluppo quasi prettamente orizzontale, è la più ampia del Veneto ed una delle più ampie d'Italia.

Con il nostro speleo-Max ne percorreremo una parte alla luce delle lampade frontali, per ammirare le fantastiche forme che l'acqua ha saputo creare attraverso un processo carsico iniziato milioni di anni fa e tuttora in corso.

La visita della grotta non richiede particolari doti atletiche ed è quindi alla portata di tutti ed è particolarmente indicata per bambini e ragazzi che qui troveranno un ambiente dove stupirsi e divertirsi.

🇬🇧 SPELEOLOGISTS FOR A DAY!!!

For lovers of mysterious ravines we have the ultimate proposal for you: a cave excursion to the BUSO DELLA RANA, a well-known underground cavity that develops under the Faedo Casaron plateau, in the municipality of Monte di Malo in the province of Vicenza.

With its 40km of almost purely horizontal development, it is the largest in the Veneto and one of the largest in Italy.

With our speleo-Max we will travel part of it by the light of the headlamps, to admire the fantastic shapes that the water has been able to create through a karst process that began millions of years ago and is still ongoing.

The visit to the cave does not require particular athletic skills and is therefore accessible to everyone and is particularly suitable for children and teenagers who will find here an environment where they can be amazed and have fun.

🇮🇹 Non ce la fate proprio ad aspettare il fine settimana per far andar le gambe?
Siete stanchi di ciaspolare e volete tornare a casa coi piedi asciutti, senza rinunciare ad un po' di adrenalina?
Abbiamo due escursioni che fanno per voi!

Martedì 18 vi portiamo sulla Punta Almana nelle Prealpi Bresciane, soli 1390mt ma un panorama spettacolare sul Lago d'Iseo, Monte Isola, il mitico Monte Guglielmo e tutto il Sebino.
In omaggio una cavalcata in cresta ed un sentiero attrezzato. E per finire in gloria, gambe e piedi (asciutti) sotto il tavolo per gustarci uno spiedo bresciano all'Osteria Pastina.

Mercoledì 19 una vetta ancora più bassa, la Colmen di Dazio coi suoi 916mt, ma con un percorso tutt'altro che scontato, qualche catena ad aiutarci nei punti più esposti ed una particolare casetta circondata da singolari opere d'arte ad accogliere i visitatori.

Quindi, lasciate a casa le ciaspole e portate la vostra voglia di mettervi in gioco!

🇬🇧 You just can't wait for the weekend to get your legs going?
Are you tired of snowshoeing and want to go home with dry feet, without giving up a bit of adrenaline?
We have two excursions for you!

On Tuesday 18th we will take you to Punta Almana in the Brescia Prealps, only 1390m but with a spectacular view of Lake Iseo, Monte Isola, the legendary Monte Guglielmo and all of Sebino.
As a gift, a ride on the ridge and an equipped trail. And to finish in glory, legs and feet (dry) under the table to enjoy a Brescian skewer at Osteria Pastina.

On Wednesday 19th an even lower peak, the Colmen di Dazio with its 916m, but with a route that is anything but obvious, some chains to help us in the most exposed points and a particular little house surrounded by singular works of art to welcome visitors.

So, leave your snowshoes at home and bring your desire to get involved!

🇮🇹 Per la serie "non è mai troppo tardi", parte seconda..
A metà gennaio siamo andati alla scoperta della Costiera dell’Albenza partendo da Roncola San Bernardo in una giornata fredda, ma confortati dal sole che ci ha fatto compagnia per tutta la giornata. A Valcava siamo riusciti a visitare la vecchia stazione di arrivo della storica funivia che, prima dell’avvento della strada carrozzabile, era l’unico mezzo di trasporto per raggiungere la località, partendo da Torre de’ Busi. Il percorso di cresta tra il Prato della Costa, Albenza, Linzone e Corna Rocchetta consente un panorama fantastico sulle montagne orobiche e oltre, ma anche sulla pianura fino a lungo raggio. E poi, che emozione vedere i parapendisti lanciarsi nel vuoto dalle pendici del monte!

🇬🇧 For the series "it's never too late", part two...

In mid-January we went to discover the Albenza Coast, starting from Roncola San Bernardo on a cold day, but comforted by the sun that kept us company throughout the day. In Valcava we were able to visit the old arrival station of the historic funicular that, before the advent of the carriageway, was the only means of transport to reach the town, starting from Torre de 'Busi. The ridge path between Prato della Costa, Albenza, Linzone and Corna Rocchetta allows a fantastic panorama of the Orobie mountains and beyond, but also of the plain to a long distance. And then, what an emotion to see the paragliders launching themselves into the void from the slopes of the mountain, supported by the wind to make their evolutions!

🇮🇹 Chiudiamo un weekend ed eccoci già pronti con qualche suggerimento per godersi il prossimo sui nostri amati monti:
Sabato 15 Max vi porterà alla scoperta della Valle Imagna e delle sue montagne sul versante che la separa dalla Val Taleggio. Vi porteremo in un luogo suggestivo chiamato “Tre Faggi”, da cui salire sulla costiera che conduce fino a Valmana, al cospetto del maestoso Resegone e con una vista impagabile sulle due valli. Per chi non c’è mai stato inoltre la perla finale di Arnosto, un bellissimo borghetto gelosamente (e fortunatamente) conservato a modo dalla popolazione locale.

Pietro invece vi porterà all'Aprica per un weekend di semplici ciaspolate, adatte anche a famiglie con pargoli al seguito che vogliono godersi la serenità ed il silenzio dell'ambiente innevato senza pericoli e con basso impegno.
E grazie ai fiocchi caduti in questi giorni sarà tutto ancora più suggestivo.

🇬🇧 We close out one weekend and here we are ready with some suggestions to enjoy the next one on our beloved mountains:
Saturday 15 Max will take you to discover the Imagna Valley and its mountains on the side that separates it from the Taleggio Valley. We will take you to a suggestive place called “Tre Faggi”, from which you can climb the coast that leads to Valmana, in front of the majestic Resegone and with a priceless view of the two valleys. For those who have never been there, there is also the final pearl of Arnosto, a beautiful village jealously (and fortunately) preserved by the local population.

Pietro will take you to Aprica for a weekend of simple snowshoeing, also suitable for families with children in tow who want to enjoy the serenity and silence of the snowy environment without dangers and with little effort.
And thanks to the flakes that have fallen in recent days, everything will be even more suggestive.

🇮🇹 Archiviato Gennaio, il mese che non finisce mai, è il turno di Febbraio, il più corto che c'è..
Non abbastanza corto, però, per non riempirvi di proposte e passarlo con noi dei 4 Elementi!

🇬🇧 January, the month that never ends, has been archived, and it's February's turn, the shortest one
Not short enough to not fill you with suggestions for spending it with us of the 4 Elements!

We start on Sunday 9th with a visit to the Grotta Ferrera, enjoying the journey to Val Meria and the always wonderful views of the Como Lake.
Three appointments on the snow of the Aprica-Trivigno-Monte Padrio area, simple snowshoeing suitable for everyone. When? Saturday 15th, Thursday 20th and Saturday 22nd!
In the middle, on Sunday 16th, we'll go up to Alpe di Campondola where the cross is proudly displayed, visible even from the valley floor.
Finally, another snowshoe hike with a photography workshop included in the stunning winter scenery of Alpe Prabello in Valmalenco..

🇮🇹 Per la serie "non è mai troppo tardi", ecco il racconto di una splendida giornata di inizio anno, quando il sole ha illuminato il percorso sul suggestivo anello che collega Ca' San Marco, i Laghi di Ponteranica e il Monte Mincucco.
Maddalena e Chiara, insieme a Max, hanno esplorato l'Alta Valle Brembana, seguendo un tracciato che permette di ammirare i laghi avvolti nel loro manto invernale di neve. Le vette circostanti, come il Colombarolo, il Ponteranica, il Valletto, il Triomen e il Mincucco, contribuiscono a rendere il paesaggio ancora più incantevole. Le numerose baite incontrate testimoniano la presenza attiva degli allevatori, che con passione e sacrificio continuano a prendersi cura di queste montagne. L'incontro con un gruppo di camosci, sempre guardinghi nei confronti dell'uomo, ha reso ancor più unica questa meravigliosa giornata.

🇬🇧 For the series 'it's never too late', here's the story of a wonderful day at the beginning of the year, when the sun illuminated the path on the charming ring that connects Ca' San Marco, the Ponteranica Lakes, and Monte Mincucco.

Maddalena and Chiara, together with Max, explored the Alta Valle Brembana, following a trail that allows you to admire the lakes enveloped in their winter blanket of snow. The surrounding peaks, such as Colombarolo, Ponteranica, Valletto, Triomen, and Mincucco, contribute to making the landscape even more enchanting. The numerous mountain huts encountered testify to the active presence of breeders, who with passion and sacrifice continue to care for these mountains. The encounter with a group of chamois, always wary of human presence, made this wonderful day even more unique

🇮🇹 Weekend in arrivo con tante opzioni per soddisfare i vostri gusti:
- Sabato 1 per l'Elemento TERRA🌍 svalicheremo nuovamente in Svizzera per raggiungere la chiesetta di San Romerio, posta su un punto che più panoramico non si può. Si trova infatti a pochi centimetri dal baratro creato dalla gigantesca frana che creò il Lago di Poschiavo. Vietato quindi farne il periplo!
- Domenica 2 l'Elemento è l'ARIA🌪, ci spostiamo nelle Orobie bergamasche per un'incursione nella splendida Val Taleggio, rinomata per i suoi formaggi (e ci mancherebbe), ma anche per la sua natura selvaggia e solitaria. Se le condizioni ce lo consentono saliremo anche in cima ai Monti Aralalta e Baciamorti.
- Domenica 2 cammineremo sulle ACQUE💧 ghiacciate e ricoperte da un copioso manto bianco del Lago Palù, in Valmalenco, una perla per tutte le stagioni, in un ambiente che ricorda quelli fiabeschi del Nord Europa.

🇬🇧 Weekend ahead with plenty of options to satisfy your desires:

Saturday 1st: For the EARTH🌍 element, we'll once again cross the border into Switzerland to reach the little church of San Romerio, perched on a truly panoramic spot. It's located just a few centimeters from the abyss created by the gigantic landslide that formed Lake Poschiavo. Therefore, going around it is forbidden!
Sunday 2nd, this time for the AIR🌪 element, we'll move to the Orobie Bergamasche mountains for a foray into the splendid Val Taleggio, renowned for its cheeses (of course!), but also for its wild and solitary nature. If conditions allow, we'll also climb to the top of Mounts Aralalta and Baciamorti.
Sunday 2nd: We'll walk on the frozen WATERS💧, covered by a thick white blanket, of Lake Palù, in Valmalenco, a gem in every season, in an environment reminiscent of the fairytale landscapes of Northern Europe.

🇮🇹 Terzo appuntamento con l'affiatatissimo duo di , Cristina e Marco, parole e foto per descrivere passo dopo passo uno degli angoli più belli della Val Malenco invernale.

Una semplice passeggiata ci porterà fino alla stupenda Alpe Prabello, dove pranzeremo al Rifugio Cristina in Valmalenco

Prima però cercheremo di guardare il paesaggio che ci circonda, e che lentamente si trasforma, con occhi diversi dal solito.

Quelli di un fotografo che rinchiude l'orizzonte in uno scatto, concentrandosi su particolari che possono sfuggire a uno sguardo distratto.
E quelli di una cantastorie, Cristina, che dovrà ridare profondità con le sue parole alle fotografie di Marco.

Un' ottima occasione per vedere la loro fantasia stuzzicata dai giochi di forme ed ombre della neve.

🇬🇧 Third appointment with the ever-cohesive duo of "Unavitadiscatti", Cristina and Marco, words and photos to describe step by step one of the most beautiful corners of the winter Val Malenco.

A simple walk will take us to the stunning Alpe Prabello, where we will have lunch at the Rifugio Cristina.

But first, we will try to look at the landscape around us, which is slowly transforming, with different eyes than usual.

Those of a photographer who captures the horizon in a shot, focusing on details that can escape a distracted gaze.
And those of a storyteller, Cristina, who will have to give depth with her words to Marco's photographs.

A great opportunity to see their imagination sparked by the play of shapes and shadows of the snow.

🇮🇹 Nuova proposta per Domenica 2 Febbraio!

Vi portiamo in Val Taleggio, dove saliamo sempre con piacere perché fino ad oggi è riuscita a preservarsi ed evitare il turismo di massa, che rischia di diventare insostenibile, e concede di percorrere sentieri poco frequentati godendo della sua natura, abbinandola alla visita di nuclei rurali e borghi storici spesso ben conservati.

Questa volta andremo sulle terre alte dei Piani d’Alben, con lo spettacolo della cresta del Pizzo Baciamorti che ci farà ammirare la Valle Stabina e le Orobie Occidentali.

We’re taking you to Val Taleggio, a place we always enjoy visiting because, to this day, it has managed to preserve itself and avoid mass tourism, which risks becoming unsustainable. Here, you can explore less-traveled trails while immersing yourself in its natural beauty, combined with visits to rural hamlets and well-preserved historic villages.

This time, we’ll head to the highlands of Piani d’Alben, where the spectacle of the Pizzo Baciamorti ridge will offer breathtaking views of Valle Stabina and the Western Orobie Alps.

🇮🇹 Un gruppo affiatato che non si è accontentato della meta di giornata e ha spinto per continuare a vedere le meraviglie che la Val di Campo era in vena di offrirci oggi.
E così oltre al Lago di Saoseo abbiamo conquistato anche quello di Val Viola.
Una ciaspolata assaporata senza fretta, godendoci ogni momento e stupendoci ad ogni cambio di panorama che questo luogo incantato offre ad ogni passo.

🇬🇧 Our tight-knit group couldn't resist the allure of Val di Campo's hidden gems, so we decided to keep exploring. Beyond the stunning Lake Saoseo, we also conquered the enchanting Lake Val Viola.
We savored every moment of our leisurely snowshoeing adventure, marvelling at the ever-changing vistas of this magical place.

🇮🇹 Nuove collaborazioni e nuove proposte all'orizzonte..

Una serie di appuntamenti sulla neve nel comprensorio Aprica-Trivigno-Monte Padrio che vi terranno compagnia fino al mese di Marzo, due appuntamenti settimanali in collaborazione con la Pro-loco di Aprica, condotti da AMM e Guide Alpine e tra i quali ci saremo anche noi.

Escursioni con le ciaspole semplici ma panoramiche, con la possibilità di noleggiare il materiale direttamente sul posto e di scegliere tra la formula mezza giornata o giornata intera.

A series of snow events in the Aprica-Trivigno-Monte Padrio area that will keep you company until March, two weekly events in collaboration with the Pro-loco of Aprica, led by AMM and Alpine Guides and among which we will also be there.

Simple but panoramic snowshoe excursions, with the possibility of renting the equipment directly on site and choosing between the half-day or full-day formula.

🇮🇹 Si è concluso con il botto il primo modulo del corso su Terreno INNevato (TINN) curato da @guidealpinelombardia, svolto sulla (purtroppo scarsa 😕) neve della Valgerola. Il "botto" ha riguardato un blocco di neve che è stato isolato e sollecitato seguendo il protocollo dell'ECT (Extended Column Test), un test specifico per valutare la stabilità del manto nevoso. Come sempre, al termine di un modulo non vediamo l'ora di iniziare il successivo, tanta è la voglia di imparare e il desiderio di ritrovare i colleghi con cui condividiamo questo percorso formativo e la nostra immensa passione per la montagna. A Febbraio ci ritroveremo in Alta Valtellina per il secondo modulo, di cui ovviamente vi forniremo alcune pillole, ma tenetevi pronti per la sorpresa finale del modulo di Marzo, quindi.. The "bang" refers to a block of snow that was isolated and subjected to stress following the ECT (Extended Column Test) protocol, a specific test to assess the stability of the snowpack. As always, at the end of a module, we can't wait to start the next one, eager to learn more and reunite with our colleagues who share this training journey and our immense passion for the mountains. In February, we will meet in Alta Valtellina for the second module. We will of course give you a sneak peek, but be prepared for the final surprise in the March module, so... Quello che vedete è solo la punta dell'iceberg di una colonia della formica Rufa (o formica rossa) che abita i nostri boschi. Sotto terra vi è un vero e proprio reticolato di cunicoli e stanze dove possono abitare fino ad 1.000.000 di individui. Specie importantissima per l'ecosistema boschivo, contribuiscono ad arricchirne il suolo. Si nutre di parassiti delle piante e della "melata" sostanza zuccherina prodotta dagli afidi, ottenuta dalla linfa degli alberi. Per difendersi o cacciare producono acido formico che paralizzano prede e nemici. Dopo aver visto un sacco di tracce abbiamo individuato il responsabile.. C'erano anche tante tracce di lepre, ma di lepri neanche l'ombra..
