is known as an Italian bread around the world, whereas in Italy there are many differences between types of Focaccias.
Focaccia Pugliese comes directly from the sun-kissed region of , in the south-eastern part of Italy (the heel of our boot), homeland of infinite acres of olive groves and warm climate, which make a powerful impact on this bread. The recipe has humble ingredients—flour, water, yeast, salt, and, crucially, the golden liquid produced by the region's abundant olive trees: extra virgin olive oil. A simple dish that stars the high-quality olive oil. 🫒

The process requires skillful hands kneading the dough and many hours to let it rest and levitate. Then, dimples are pocked on the dough and cherry-tomatoes are added on top. When oven-baked to golden perfection, the thick crispy crust and chewy dough, create a timeless flavor that was inherited from generation to generation.
In the bustling markets of Puglia, Focaccia Pugliese is displayed with pride alongside olives, cheeses, and other regional delights, to preserve the essence of Pugliese Tradition.

is probably the most known Italian dessert. Its creation comes from a region in northern Italy, Veneto, in the city of Treviso, during the 1960s.
The English translation for this dessert is literally “Pick me up” and this name was created because, back in the days, housewives used to make Tiramisu to rejuvenate their husbands' energy and moods after an exhausting day at work.

The basic components of Tiramisu include layers of coffee-soaked ladyfinger biscuits (savoiardi) alternated with a luscious mixture of cheese, eggs, sugar, and sometimes a hint of cocoa. The use of coffee in the dessert not only adds a rich flavor but also contributes to Tiramisu’s name itself, as caffeine is a natural “pick-me-up”.
The dessert's reputation spread quickly, becoming a staple in restaurants and households, and eventually achieving international fame, because of its timeless and iconic sweet treat that combines gastronomy and tradition.

One unique feature of this is the shallow clear waters that extend for meters, away from the coast, suitable for all-ages swimmers.
The view of Tavolara Island sprouting up beyond the coastline is something too majestic not to experience.
The crescent shaped bay becomes very busy during high season in Summer because of its beauty and tranquility, this is why we suggest to visit in low-middle season or go early in the morning, making sure to reserve the best spot.

𝐁𝐎𝐋𝐎𝐆𝐍𝐀, the city called “La Rossa, La Dotta, La Grassa” (meaning “The Red, The Intellectual, The Fat”) is a fusion of architecture, history, academic heritage, political aspiration and food culture. The city became famous since Middle Age, having been one of the most important papal centers and politics heart. 🇮🇹

Wandering around will have you transported in ancient times, as every single wall of the medieval city centre screams authenticity and unparalleled knowledge.

- San Michele in Bosco: a hillside church that overlooks the “Red City”. It is a popular meeting point for lovebirds and group of friends that want to enjoy a sunset away from traffic noises and with a majestic view.
- Via Piella, Bologna’s little Venice, an unknown spot for tourists and Bolognese people, where the cute glimpse of Bologna’s old canals still keeps the city’s history alive.
- San Luca: a sanctuary on top of a hill that can be seen from almost every corner of Bologna. What stands out not only is the view from its top, but it is the impressive portico that covers more than 3,7 kms and connect the sanctuary to the city center.
- Rocchetta Mattei is a quite modern fortress in the Appennini of Bologna. Re-built by the earl Cesare Mattei in the 1860s, the castle was constructed on top of a 13th century building ruins. 🏰 The is particular as it combines different artistic and architectural styles such as the neo-medieval and neo-Renaissance ones.
- 40kms of Porticoes. Ever since 1100, when the growth of the University led to the need for new urban spaces, the porticoes have become private and public locations where people can socialize and trade, an open-air salon symbol of Bologna’s hospitality.
- Factory: one of many Bologna’s prides is the luxurious car manufacturer Lamborghini, whose factory and museum can be visited.
-Mortadella: Bologna is famous for its food, but probably the best part of it is , a delicious cold-cut with a delicate undernote that makes it perfect for paninis stuffing or with cheese boards. 🧀

The first dish we want you do discover comes from our areas, , in the Sorrento Peninsula. Nerano is a naturalistic paradise with crystal clear waters, high cliffs over the sea and small fishing villages. The most popular food is probably Spaghetti alla Nerano, a pasta dish renowned for its simple yet delicious combination of flavors and textures. Spaghetti alla Nerano key ingredients are pasta, zucchinis (courgettes), and Provolone del Monaco cheese.
Zucchinis must be pan-fried until golden brown, while the pasta is being cooked al dente. Once ready, plating consists in assembling the two with a sprinkle of grated Provolone del Monaco cheese, where its distinguished and strong flavor mixes with the delicacy of local zucchinis.
This dish is eaten among many families in , especially on Sundays, where the whole household gets together to share convivial moments with beloved ones.

It’s about flavors, smells, ingredients, cooking methods, and old recipes: the food culture is another level. 🇮🇹
- Climate is a big part of it. Being very hot during the summer, and mildly cold in the winter, this allows our soils to be ready for harvesting seasonal products. We care about products’ seasonality, preferring to eat what grows in that specific period of the year.
- over quantity matters. We prefer smaller plates with rich flavors instead of huge food dishes with tasteless ingredients. Everything is balanced to make a perfect combination of aromas, colors, taste and quality of raw materials. Almost all meals prepared from scratch, we have the chance to make the dish as best as possible from start to finish.
- The simpler, the better. Our philosophy comes from century-old recipes, inherited from our great grandparents. Whereas the cost of life was nowhere near today’s, our relatives learned how to make the most of it from the little they had. This is why Italian are somewhat easy to make. A few ingredients for an explosion of flavors!
- This refers for how we shop, too. Local farmers and shops are preferred among Italians, having controlled and genuine products directly from their lands, instead of buying in superstores where almost everything comes from big enterprises and huge farms. This way we reduce consumerism and general waste, living a “green” life without even knowing. 😙

Our is a real and proper culture. We try to preserve what makes our cuisine one of the best in the world, not forgetting our traditions and being aware that where culture meets passion, there is no better thing than the ITALIAN FOOD 🇮🇹

🍦 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐆𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐨 (from someone who worked in a Gelateria in Italy) 🇮🇹

When it comes to , we are very serious about it. Like most popular cities in Italy and their tourist traps, beware of “Gelato traps”!

I had the chance to work in a , and what I’ve learned is a lesson that I am going to treasure for the rest of my life, and decided it to share with you.

- Colors are not bright. If you see Gelato flavors with vivid colors, most of the times they have artificial colorants to make the flavor pop up in the window shop. Just think of pistachios: they have a faint green/brownish color; therefore, the REAL color of Gelato won’t ever be bright green.
- Do not choose Gelaterias that expose their gelatos in the window shops. Most Italian gelaterias prefer to have their gelato in steel containers inside the main counter, where it is well frozen and avoids any sort of contact with external agents.
- Pumped-up Gelatos are not as good as you think. Not going to lie, those fluffy gelatos that resemble clouds are very appetizing, but are not so healthy. The cloud-like gelatos you see in most gelaterias around touristic spots, have hydrogenated fats to keep them in shape and appetize people to enter the shop.

Hope these tips will help you choose the right gelateria to let you experience traditional Italian gelato!
