🇮🇹 Oggi andiamo a scoprire la riserva Naturale di Vendicari. La riserva di Vendicari (in siciliano Vinnìcari) è un area naturale protetta situata precisamente tra Noto e Pachino. All’interno della riserva, vive indisturbato un intero ecosistema. Vi troverete davanti a paesaggi mozzafiato, con una f***a vegetazione che si apre all’improvviso su un mare cristallino e spiaggia lunghissime. Presenti i capanni di osservazione da dove poter ammirare fenicotteri, aironi e cicogne che arrivano a Vendicari prima delle mete migratorie. Famosa anche la tonnara, chiamata anche Bafutu, fu una tonnara di ritorno, cioè una tonnara che pescava tonni dopo la stagione.
La pesca del tonno ha origini antichissime. Se ne hanno testimonianze grafiche e pitture rupestri risalenti alla preistoria.
Natura e storia si incontrano nella Riserva Naturale di Vendicari.

There are observation huts from where you can admire flamingos, herons and storks that arrive in Vendicari before their migratory destinations. Tuna fishing has very ancient origins. There are graphic evidences and rock paintings dating back to prehistoric times.

Lo sapevate che una delle feste patronali più belle al mondo si celebra a Catania!
La città di Catania è situata nel sud-est della Sicilia, sulla costa bagnata dal mar Ionio, a soli venti minuti dal vulcano attivo più alto d'Europa, l'Etna.
Katane fu fondata dai Greci nel 729 a. C., e conquistata dai Romani nel 263 d.C.
Catania fu distrutta nel 1693 da un violento terremoto e subito ricostruita su progetto di G. Lanza, Duca di Camastra, realizzato dall'architetto siciliano G. B. Vaccarini, discepolo del Bernini di Roma. Lo stile del Vaccarini è ancora oggi riconoscibile nel Barocco del centro storico, dichiarato dall'UNESCO Patrimonio dell'Umanità. E proprio Catania la città che ospita la terza più grande festività cristiana al mondo, la festa di Sant’Agata, rappresentazione di devozione davvero unica. Tre giorni di culto, devozione e folclore. Il primo giorno accompagnato dalle Candelore già in giro tra le strade della città qualche settimana prima, vengono portati in dono i ceri chiedendo protezione alla Santuzza. Nella strada principale di Catania vengono portate in corteo anche due Carrozze settecentesche appartenute al senato. La prima giornata di festa si conclude con appunto a “sira o’ tri” atteso spettacolo pirotecnico. All’alba del 4 Febbraio i Devoti vestono il loro sacco bianco, a scurzetta il berretto di velluto e i guanti bianchi e attendono la messa dell’aurora dove finalmente riabbracciano la loro santuzza. Da qui partirà il giro esterno. Che toccherà i luoghi del martirio della Santa. Giorno 5 accompagnata da Garofani Rossi Sant’Agata torna tra la sua gente. Dal tramonto fino all’alba del giorno dopo la santuzza viene portata in giro per la città nel famoso giro interno, che culmina nella famosa salita di San Giuliano. Per poi tornare nella Cattedrale e tornare tra la sua gente il 12 Febbraio giorno della famosa Ottava di Sant’Agata. In questi giorni è possibile anche assaggiare i dolci tipici della Festa. Le famose Olivette, o i cassateddi di Sant’Aita. Tradizione, culto, devozione che fanno di Catania una delle città più bella della nostra Isola.

Un saluto alla primavera, così viene definita la famosa infiorata di Noto.
L'infiorata è una tradizione, che ogni anno attira migliaia di turisti nella Città di Noto.
La manifestazione si svolge per le vie della Città del Barocco, Patrimonio Unesco ogni terza domenica del mese di Maggio.
Non si tratta di una manifestazione religiosa ma come detto all'inizio è definita un saluto alla Primavera. La storia dell'infiorata di Noto nasce negli anni 80 quando l'ex Azienda Provinciale del Turismo, invitò gli artisti della Città Laziale di Genzano a realizzare l'infiorara a via Nicolaci, che ebbe grande successo. Dopo quell'anno grazie al grande successo avuto, la manifestazione è diventata una tradizione. L'impatto emotivo è fortissimo, nelle vie della Città un susseguirsi di "tele dipinte con fiori". Vengono realizzati sedici grandi quadri ispirati ogni anno da una tematica differente, quest'anno i quadri verranno imbelliti con alcune scene dei film più importanti girati nella Città di Noto da Malena di Giuseppe Tornatore, alla serie tv che ha spopolato in America The White Lotus, per non dimenticare il meraviglioso Film di Michelangelo Antonioni, L' Avventura con una meravigliosa Monica Vitti. Occorrono diversi mesi di lavoro per arrivare al risultato finale, dalla scelta del tema, alla realizzazione dei bozzetti su carta, la scelta cromatica e la ricerca dei materiali da utilizzare. Nelle notti che precedono l'infiorata si va alla ricerca di piccole quantità di piante selvatiche. Si procede anche con lo "spetalamento" in gergo siciliano, momento di grande festa per tutti, anche per i turisti presenti. Armati di gessetti, pennelli, spugne e listelli gli artisti infioratori, iniziano il loro disegno e da li iniziano a dare vita a quello che sarà il grande tappeto. Lo storico tappetto è lungo 122 metri e largo 7 circa, richiederà l'impiego di cica 400 mila fiori, tra garofani e gerbere, margherite, ciuffi di fi*****io, fiori di valeriana, artemisia e mirto, ramoscelli d'olivo. L'infiorata quest'anno è possibile visitarla dal 20 al 23 Maggio.

Sixteen large paintings are made each year inspired by a different theme, this year the paintings will be embellished with some scenes of the most important films shot in the City of Noto by Malena Giuseppe Tornatore, the TV series that has depopulated in America The White Lotus, not to forget the wonderful Film by Michelangelo Antonioni, The Adventure with a wonderful Monica Vitti. It takes several months of work to arrive at the final result, from the choice of the theme, to the realization of the sketches on paper, the choice of color and the search for materials to use. 🇮🇹 Oggi ci spostiamo a Gioiosa Marea in provincia di Messina, il 7 Luglio ritorna la tradizionale festa della Mietitura. In questo giorno, si potrà prendere parte alla mietitura dei campi di grano, effettuata a mano dai contadini con addosso gli abiti tradizionali, come avveniva al secolo scorso. È un viaggio alla scoperta delle usanze e dei costumi di una volta. Si potranno ammirare gli oggetti con cui viene svolta la mietitura del grano, come la falce e il maglio. Durante la festa della mietitura di Gioiosa Marea, che sarà accompagnata da musiche e canti popolari, i visitatori hanno anche la possibilità di partecipare alla raccolta del grano con “fauci” e “canneddi”come avveniva nelle campagne siciliane fini agli anni ‘60. Un evento unico, da non perdere, che fa riscoprire i valori e le tradizioni della nostra meravigliosa Terra.

🇮🇹 Lo sapevate che a sole 2 ore di macchina da Taormina si può ammirare l’Olanda delle Madonie?!
Ci troviamo a Blufi (Malapassu – in siciliano) comune italiano di 889 abitanti.
Ogni anno in questo paesino delle Madonie, intorno a metà marzo – inizio aprile, si verifica uno spettacolo unico nel suo genere: la fioritura massiva di un’unica specie di tulipano, Tulipa raddii. Si tratta di un tulipano molto precoce, originario di Cipro, Isole dell’Egeo orientale, Libano-Siria, Palestina e Turchia. Seguendo la pagina Facebook (I tulipani della madonna dell’Olio) si può anche seguire l’avanzamento della fioritura. In questo modo si può capire quale sia il momento migliore per poter andare a vedere i campi fioriti.

Scopriamo i luoghi e le tradizioni vicine.

🇮🇹 Lo sapevate che a sole 2 ore di macchina da Taormina si può ammirare l’Olanda delle Madonie?!
Ci troviamo a Blufi (Malapassu – in siciliano) comune italiano di 889 abitanti.
Ogni anno in questo paesino delle Madonie, intorno a metà marzo – inizio aprile, si verifica uno spettacolo unico nel suo genere: la fioritura massiva di un’unica specie di tulipano, Tulipa raddii.
Il nome del tulipano omaggia il botanico fiorentino Gluseppe Raddi. Si tratta di un tulipano molto precoce, originario di Cipro, Isole dell’Egeo orientale, Libano-Siria, Palestina e Turchia. Ha fiori semplici rosso scarlatto con caratteristici petali a punta e una macchia scura bordata di giallo alla base interna.
Probabilmente la sua diffusione nei campi di Blufi risale all’epoca in cui i Saraceni giunsero in Sicilia oppure al periodo delle Crociate, quando alcuni cavalieri di Malta si trattennero in queste zone tornando dalla Terra Santa, si fermarono nell’area attorno alla fonte dell’olio e costruirono il Santuario dedicandolo alla Madonna, dell’Olio.
Una leggenda narra di due giovani sposi che si recarono in pellegrinaggio al Santuario perché fosse loro concessa la grazia di un figlio, deponendo su un altare un mazzo di tulipani bianchi. Ottenuta la grazia di due gemelli, tornarono al Santuario per ringraziare la Madonna ma lo trovarono chiuso. Videro tuttavia che i loro tulipani erano divenuti rossi, si voltarono e si trovarono in un campo punteggiato da tulipani del medesimo colore.
Si può anche conoscere lo stato di avanzamento della fioritura, grazie apposita pagina Facebook (I tulipani di Madonna dell’Olio). In questo modo si può capire qual è il momento migliore per poter vedere i tulipani.
Grazie a Fabrizio e Ilena titolari dell’azienda che da molti anni gestisce i campi di Blufi , tutelare i tulipani per loro è una mission e per questo hanno anche creato un percorso obbligato, evitando calpestii inutili o inappropriati, per consentire alle persone di immergersi nella natura con lo scenario unico del Santuario della Madonna dell’Olio sullo sfondo. Grazie alla loro azienda è anche possibile: Conoscere i loro asinelli sardi Turiddu & Margherita. Conoscere i loro agnellini, visitare il Santuario, visitare la fonte dell’Olio, e tanto altro ancora.

🇮🇹Scopriamo i luoghi e le tradizioni vicine.

La Pasqua si avvicina, ed oggi andiamo a scoprire la Settimana Santa di Enna. Un appuntamento con una suggestiva tradizione Siciliana.
La settimana Santa di Enna è costituita da una serie di processioni religiose derivanti da tradizioni secolari
di origine sp****la che si svolgono annualmente nella città siciliana.
Culmine dei riti, la processione del Venerdì Santo, durante la quale sfilano circa 2.500 confrati incappucciati, che portano i fercoli di Gesù morto e della Madonna Addolorata, sulle note di diverse marce funebri
I riti, si aprono la Domenica delle Palme e si concludono la Domenica di Albis, una settimana dopo Pasqua.

La Domenica delle Palme

In questa giornata di tiene la processione di Gesù e degli Apostoli e l’ingresso di Gesù a Gerusalemme. Alle 10 del mattino, al Santuario di Papardura, i confrati della Passione rappresentano l’arrivo del Messia nella città santa. Uno dei confrati, rappresentante Gesù, m***a su un asinello, preceduto da dodici compagni, rappresentanti gli apostoli. La processione si ferma alla Chiesa di San Sebastiano, dinanzi alla quale viene posto un portale su cui vegliano due sentinelle romane dell’imperatore. Quando finalmente la processione raggiunge la Chiesa di San Leonardo, essa viene accolta dai fedeli e dal suono delle campane. All’interno si dà il via alla passione di Gesù di cui fa memoriale il simulacro dell’ Ecce Homo.

Venerdì Santo

È il momento culminante delle celebrazioni pasquali. Tutte le confraternite, al Duomo, danno vita alla solenne processioni. Vi sono oltre duemila confrati incappucciati che precedono le Vare del Cristo morto e dell’Addolorata, dando così inizio al lungo corteo funebre che percorrerà quasi tutta la città, tornando a Duomo.
Domenica di Pasqua
Si tiene in questa giornata la cerimonia chiamata ‘a Paci. Tra due ali di folla, nella piazza adiacente al Duomo, le statue del Cristo risorto e della Madonna si incontrano e vengono portate nella chiesa.

Domenica in Albis

Le confraternite e i fedeli si recano in processione nei pressi del Castello di Lombardia, dove, con il simulacro della Trinità portato a spalla dai confrati dello Spirito Santo, viene impartita la solenne benedizione dei campi. Si torna poi verso il Duomo, sostando prima in piazza Mazzini, dove ha luogo l’ultima cerimonia, detta la Spartenza.

La Settimana Santa a Enna è vissuta con grande intensità emotiva, sia dalla popolazione locale, sia dai tantissimi turisti che in quei giorni affollano le vie della Città, in particolar modo durante la processione del Venerdì Santo.

The Holy Week of Enna consists of a series of religious processions derived from secular traditionsof Spanish origin that take place annually in the Sicilian city. Culmination of the rites, the procession of Good Friday, during which parade about 2,500 compared hooded, that carry the fercoli of dead Jesus and Our Lady of Sorrows, on the notes of different funeral marches
The rites open on Palm Sunday and end on Albis Sunday, a week after Easter.
Palm Sunday
On this day of holds the procession of Jesus and the Apostles and the entrance of Jesus to Jerusalem. At 10 in the morning, at the Shrine of Papardura, the confrati of the Passion represent the arrival of the Messiah in the holy city. One of the brothers, representing Jesus, mounted on a donkey, preceded by twelve companions, representing the apostles. The procession stops at the Church of San Sebastiano, in front of which is placed a portal on which two Roman sentinels of the emperor watch. When the procession finally reaches the Church of San Leonardo, it is welcomed by the faithful and the sound of the bells. Inside, the passion of Jesus, of which the simulacrum of the Ecce Homo is a memorial, is launched.

Good Friday

It is the culminating moment of the Easter celebrations. All the brotherhoods, at the Duomo, give life to the solemn processions. There are more than two thousand hooded brothers who precede the Vare del Cristo morto e dell'Addolorata, thus starting the long funeral procession that will run through almost the entire city, returning to the Duomo.

Easter Sunday

It is held on this day the ceremony called 'a Paci. Between two wings of crowd, in the square adjacent to the Cathedral, the statues of the Risen Christ and the Madonna meet and are brought into the church.

Sunday in Albis

The confraternities and the faithful go in procession near the Castle of Lombardy, where, with the simulacrum of the Trinity carried on the shoulders of the confrates of the Holy Spirit, the solemn blessing of the fields is imparted. We then return to the Duomo, stopping first in Piazza Mazzini, where the last ceremony takes place, called the Spartenza.

The Holy Week in Enna is lived with great emotional intensity, both by the local population, both by the many tourists that in those days crowd the streets of the city, especially during the procession of Good Friday.
