A beautiful Persian wedding tradition - the sofreh aghd, is a traditional table laden with various objects and food. Each item symbolizes the beginning of a couple’s new life together. Eggs and nuts represent fertility and abundance, while coins represent prosperity. Pastries point to the sweetness of a shared life, and the mirror and candles represent the bright future ahead.

We’re happy we had a chance to participate in preparing this special tradition for Yasmeen’s & Marco’s wedding in Taormina.

In the hilltop above Taormina Joyce and Chris welcomed their guests to Sicily with a truly authentic taste of the south. Taking over the piazza of Castelmola for a street party. Pizzas made by the best pizzeria in Taormina, gelato shipped in from their favourite gelateria in Milan, opera singers and folk dancers kicked off their celebrations.
