It's always a highlight or our summer when regular guests return - it becomes a stay vacation for us. Many thanks to Andy and Claire for sharing a wonderful evening with us last night. Food was prepared by Mirko the Personal chef Puglia - great food, great company, music, wine and beer who could ask for more.

Brindisi inner harbour this lunchtime. No one in it, driver forgot to put the hand brake on. Place is swarming with police and fire engines. Divers coming in to assist with pulling the car out. And we came out for a quiet anniversary lunch

2024 marks another milestone on our Italian journey, which began in 2005 when we jumped off the career path, sold our UK house, and moved to Puglia, lock, stock, and barrel—not forgetting the two cats that came with us. We thought we were taking early retirement, but 2006 marked the beginning of our life as hands-on holiday rental owners, starting with Villa Rosa, followed by Casa Mare in 2008. Not exactly retired, but working in a completely different and enjoyable environment.
2024 is our nineteenth year of renting villas. Over the years, we've met many wonderful friends, some of whom return year after year, while others stay in touch via social media. Now, we've decided to slow down a bit.
After much consideration, we decided to sell Villa Rosa, and after just two weeks on the market, it was snapped up at just over the asking price! We didn't expect such a quick result. If you have a holiday booked at Villa Rosa this year, don’t worry your holiday is safe. The sale will not complete until the end of October
We still have a few weeks available at Villa Rosa for 2024—this is your last opportunity to stay at Villa Rosa, discover the Salento, and experience our hospitality.
Casa Mare also has some availability for 2024 and will continue to be a holiday rental villa for the foreseeable future. With just one house to care for, we will be able to direct all our attention to ensuring our guests have an even better holiday experience here in the Salento, the heart of Puglia.
