CARNEVALE SEASON IS HERE! from today, 17 January until Martedì Grasso (Shrove Tuesday) to 13 February, 2024. Parades of floats, masks & costumes, explosion of colours, confetti, music & dancing the streets, Italian food, wine, sweets, fireworks... laughter, fun, merry-making..

CARNEVALE DEI FIGLI DI BOCCO https://youtu.be/BhZTMSgKOPs : baroque masks in a medieval village - echoes the Venetian carnival.

A parade of over 200 masks and costumes: each innovative and a unique work of art (opere d'arte) of fine fabrics, crystals, plumes,... entirely hand-stitched by the borgo's seamstresses, (all volunteers for the love of their territory).

A historical carnevale, in a borgo drenched in a myriad of colours and transformed into magical world.

Yesterday: Walking the Sunset

Gorgeous clear crisp sunny winter's day. Last night was -2 degrees; the drinking bowls outside were ice this morning (the north placed ones without direct sunshine still were at lunchtime).... And, we had a beautiful clear sunny day. The sun was lovely and warm. Snow-covered mountains added to the magnificent Trasimeno backdrop. The photos don't do justice to the glorious beauty and radiance of today.
