Nicoletta, your Guide in Venice

Nicoletta, your Guide in Venice Follow me, I will show you the real Venice! I'm Venetian and I'm a licensed professional LOCAL Guide Hi, I’m Nicoletta, a licensed tourist guide in Venice.
(122)

I love this wonderful city, and I've always tried to communicate it, its Beauty and the delicate equilibrium that support it to all the people that wanted to discover it with me. That’s why, in 2009, I decided to become a tourist guide. My tours last usually from 3-4 hours to one or more full day. I do completely customised tours: tell me what are your main interests (History, Art, Food, Discoveri

es, ...), we will decide together what is the tour that better fit them. I will show you Venice, its majestic monuments and palaces, the masterpieces kept in its museums and churches, the intimacy of the residential areas, the beauty of the hidden campi and canals. And, if you have children, they will have a lot of fun discovering how magic this city can be. My interests are many, but I especially love People, Art and History. Since the graduation in “Art History and Conservation of Cultural Heritage”, in 2002, with a work on the cultural aspects of the venetian mainland, I've worked in the educational programs of some of the major museums of Venice (Correr, Accademia Gallery, Doge’s Palace, Peggy Guggenheim). As a journalist and an art critic, I developed a special passion for Contemporary Art, and I published reviews and small catalogues for several artists. I speak English, Spanish and Italian. As a Licensed Venetian Tourist Guide, I am part of the project Venice Sustainable Tourism: discover how to visit Venice respecting and defending it with us! https://www.venicesustainabletourism.com/it/

🌏 Does the gondola iron indicate sestieri? The short answer: no. 😅

We know, we might disappoint you, but we wouldn't be Venipedians if we didn't tell it like it is: it is a very recent urban legend, but there is no historical trace, to date, that represents any implicit or explicit meaning.

On the contrary, we do have a clear historical trace: its form - from 16th-century engravings, through the paintings of the most famous artists such as Canaletto, to the present day - has varied over time, even by a great deal.

Always yours,
