"This apartment is by far one of the most quaint beautiful places we have ever visited. From the location in a quiet residential area of Venice to the historical significance of the building and the beautiful decorations/appointments of the apartment, it was a wonderful stay. What I liked most about this apartment is that unlike my prior visit, where I stayed in a very touristy area, this location made me feel like I experienced the real Venice with excellent restaurants in a real neighborhood. It is even more beautiful than the pictures."

The Basilica of “Madonna Della Salute” Yesterday night at the end of one of the most loved of all Venetian events. A large crowd has filled the Church until late night!

"Truly magical. This was one of our favorite stays we have ever had. The pictures are gorgeous but somehow it is even better in person. Extremely clean, comfortable, and walkable to all the great spots of Venice but a bit removed to escape the crowds. The hosts were AMAZING! They arranged a private water taxi for us to the apartment and then later to the train station. Truly a concierge experience. Venice is truly even more magical from this apartment. Cannot recommend enough"

"What a special spot! A backyard in Venice! What a treasure. Such a beautiful home with four wonderful bathrooms with attached baths. We couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more! Very professional check in and messaging etc. You will love your stay!"

"This lovely apartment had beautiful windows facing the Grand Canal. Every morning we watched as real life Venice took place: garbage collectors, boatsmen polishing their taxis, package deliveries. It was as if we were a part of everyday life in an extraordinary city. Great location, away from the crowds and yet near many "destinations".

Today Sunday 28th of January the official opening of the Venice Carnival. The boats parade led by hundreds of masked rowers proceeds along the Grand Canal, together with the large papier-mâché pantegana which will “explode” in Rialto: a unique event of its kind, made up of colours, decorations, masked figures and popular songs from the lagoon. #carnevaledivenezia #boatsparade #carnevalevenezia2024 @venice_carnival_official

Our Story

Views on Venice was founded in the late 1990’s when the concept of short term apartment rentals was in its infancy and rarely considered an option by most visitors to the city.

As a ‘thirty-something’ Venetian excited by the new business and communication opportunities offered by the internet, I decided to link up with a close childhood friend in creating a partnership which, at the time, was a novelty in Venice.

The idea we had in mind was to approach the traditional management of my family’s apartments from an entirely different angle, while at the same time resisting the attentions of those wanting to transform my family's palazzo into a prestigious hotel.

Our aim was to offer these apartments, as well as those of friends, for rental to an international clientele who’d take pleasure in the comfort, freedom and authenticity of ‘living at home as a Venetian’ rather than merely observing the city from the confines of an anonymous hotel room or suite.
