Campobello di Mazara on the south west corner of the island. I remember this day, it was so clear with blue skies and within minutes the mist came across the sea and I couldn’t see a metre in front of me. At this point you are closer to Africa than you are to Rome.

Picked up some flathead this morning for my Dad at the fish market and he’s a very happy man, making his ghiotta. Fish soup for lunch today.
Simple and tasty. Sauté onion, garlic, celery, carrot, capers and add a canned tomato, pinch of chilli, salt and sugar, some basil & parsley and simmer. Add the fish and let it simmer for about half an hour and it’s done. Buonissimo.

I took this photo of Panarea on a boat trip through the Isole Eolie. Sicily has some amazing tiny islands with pristine waters like this or Lampedusa or Favignana. Hiring a boat is definitely the best way to see them.

Sicily 2025, let’s go!!!

Picked up some flathead this morning for my Dad at the fish market and he’s a very happy man, making his ghiotta. Fish soup for lunch today. Simple and tasty. Sauté onion, garlic, celery, carrot, capers and add a canned tomato, pinch of chilli, salt and sugar, some basil & parsley and simmer. Add the fish and let it simmer for about half an hour and it’s done. Buonissimo.

This was a lot of fun to do, huge thanks to the gorgeous Luca who kept the crowd happy with cannoli. Congratulations to the happy couple, Jordan & Claudia
