The new operator DFDS’ bookings are live from today with Jersey Route Director pledging to “continue to refine and enhance” the schedule “based on feedback and demand”.

If you have an accommodation booking with us and have requested a sea travel quotation, please bare with us, it’s a new system and we are working very hard to prepare and send quotes out.

Route services cover Poole and Portsmouth in the UK, St Malo in France to and from Jersey – with bookings available between 28 March and 30 September with further dates to be added in due course.

We enjoyed a wonderful, sunny and informative Geowalk today around Plemont, expertly led by Nicky Mansell, learning all about the history of the granite rocks, exploring caves and following the routes enjoyed by many Victorian and Edwardian tourists who came to be impressed by the wildness and nature. These free guided walks are available on Eventbrite and are highly recommended ☀️🥾💙🇯🇪

The Government of Jersey 🇯🇪 have announced that Danish company DFDS are their new chosen ferry operator to serve UK-Jersey and Jersey-St Malo from Spring 2025 ending a service provided by Condor Ferries that has spanned 60 years!

Details of vessels to be used, booking options/schedules and pricing are expected to be published around 13 December 2024 with a commitment that pricing will be similar to 2024 + RPI for 2025.

If you already have an accommodation booking with Freedom Holidays for 2025 and have requested sea travel, thank you for your patience, we will be in touch as soon as we can, but please bare with us a little longer whilst we work with DFDS to create new accounts.

We have been told to expect;
⛴ Greater frequency of ferries to the UK and France from Jersey in peak periods.
⛴ Faster ferries to the UK.
⛴ 3 new ferries within the next 6 years.
⛴ 2 dedicated high-speed ferries for the summer.

The States of Guernsey 🇬🇬 have signed a new contract with Brittany Ferries to provide a service between Guernsey, the UK and France.

DFDS, Brittany Ferries and Marche Isle Express will work together with both local governments to offer an inter island service.
