Greetings from Cape Verde👋

It’s Camila again with another excursion review, this time it’s for the Boa Vista Full Day 4x4 Island Tour with Beachfront Lunch, which we did yesterday and WOW what a tour it was! 😀

The fun kicked off in the Viana desert as we rumbled over the sand dunes in a 4x4. This was so much fun, I was definitely holding onto my seat as the driver excelerated over the dunes🚙

Then, we moved on to the rusting shipwreck of Cabo de Santa Maria. There are apparently 150 shipwrecks on the islands of Cape Verde but our tour guide informed us that this one is the most mysterious of all. This shipwreck is located on such a beautiful beach which was a great place to snap a selfie or two so we made the most of this opportunity 📸

We then visited Sal Rei for a glimpse at the capital's fishing pier, shops and to chat with some of the locals before going for a lunch at a nearby beach restaurant. Where we witnessed kite flying on the beach and enjoyed the chilled vibe of this amazing restaurant/bar. The food here was delicious too 🪁🍽️

Next up was a pit stop in Povoaçao Velha, the oldest settlement on the island. We had the pleasure of being invited into a local church where we learned about Cape Vere and it’s history. 🇨🇻

We then moved onto our final stop, Santa Monica beach. Boasting 15km of white sand and undulating dunes, it's no wonder it was voted one of the world's top 10 beaches. The perfect place to end our tour. 🌊🏖️☀️

Another amazing tour, this tour was around 8 hours in total and was a fantastic way to really experience what Boa Vista has to offer. Highly recommend 👌🏻🤩

Hello everyone, it's Camila here!

I'm currently on an educational in Boa Vista, Cape Verde, and I just had the most amazing adventure called Desert Delight.

We hopped on a coach for a quick 15-minute ride to our destination, where we were warmly welcomed with refreshing drinks and a rundown of the evening's plans. The dinner was a feast of traditional Cape Verdean cuisine, all set to the backdrop of delightful music.

After savoring our meal, we were treated to a mesmerizing view of the planets through a telescope, which was simply breathtaking. The staff then handed out blankets for a short stroll into the desert, where we reclined under the vast sky, indulging in the stunning stargazing experience. If you were fortunate, you might even spot a shooting star! The night sky was nothing short of spectacular.

I wholeheartedly recommend this excursion; it’s a magical and unforgettable experience!
