I have recently rescued a couple of birds which have fallen down chimneys.
This is can easily be prevented by having a bird cowl fitted on a used chimney or a closing cap fitted on a redundant chimney.
Don't wait for this to happen, some customers do not realise the poor bird has fallen down the chimney until the winter when it is discovered when having their chimney swept - if discovered at all.
