If you know who this is, you will know the best pan chicken in Kingston! Northside Plaza, let me show you. You can find parking up the road and walk down to the entrance of north side Plaza just across from the US embassy.. hands down the best pan chicken in Kingston. And of course, if you see a line, you know you are not alone thinking that. There’s also always Soup bubbling. And today I was lucky that they had roast breadfruit. So I don’t waste no time and get one piece of well spiced, well juicy and well tasty piece of chicken! you just know when you see a piece of scallion that they use proper ingredients. All accompanied With some freshly roast bread fruit! Well, hot! The place always busy and full of Vybz and you can get a cold jelly and drinks right next to the pan!

Every Saturday, @rasmalekot876 opens the doors of his tiny shop at 📍 the foot of skyline drive, Jack’s Hill (see the google maps pin on the reggaemonth calendar on www.streetsofjamaica.com) for a special gathering filled with music, culture, and deep reasoning. A true Kingston icon, Malekot is a poet, writer, craft maker, and recording artist, embodying the spirit of Rastafari. His shop, nestled at the edge of the Blue Mountains, is a treasure trove of hand-knitted hats, scarfs, jewlery, unique souvenirs, jamaican craft beer and roots tonic.
On Saturdays, visitors can experience the essence of Rastafari firsthand. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with reggae tunes spinning, rich conversations flowing, and people from all over meet and greet. Whether you’re looking to reason with Malekot about life, sip on a revitalizing tonic, or simply soak in the vibes, his Saturday sessions offer a glimpse into an authentic Rasta way of life.

@sprytraining @chad_dimitri @jaespry In the 1970s and 80s, weightlifting and Olympic lifting thrived in Jamaica, driven by a strong gym culture and local competitions that emphasized raw strength.
However, as Jamaica’s focus shifted to track and field, funding and interest in strength sports declined. Competitive lifting faded, and gym culture moved toward bodybuilding and general fitness.
Now, weightlifting is making a comeback, with gyms like Spry Training Centre emphasizing strength training. Stronger lifters are raising the standard, inspiring more athletes to compete. Chad Wright, a key figure in this revival, is training and mentoring young lifters at Spry, helping to restore Jamaica’s presence in Olympic weightlifting.

@ilovesocajamaica Have you ever been to a soca party and seen the crews in the middle go crazy? And then wondered who they are and how do they get suh? Well I have! I always admired the vibes and wanted to join so I did! My Jamaican cru invited me to join them for I love soca scenaningans and this is a little vlog of how that went. Sooo this is how the vibe get so high Mr Wray and his nephew are special guest and this is jungle juice! A little bit of everything mixed with about 6 bottles of rum and some vodka and other mystery spirits.. in with the rum and make sure every little drop is not wasted, and then give that a little shake. But before we get to the taste test I’ll show you how it all started.
Soca parties are not like other parties where the starting time is 8 but everyone comes at 1.. Soca lovers come out early to maximize the party time! We are here to dance and party! Arriving early makes it possible to bring in your liquor, no lines at the entry, get a cup without hassle, big up i love soca for always bringing the best cups! find your friends easy, get the best spot at the stage, and then take pictures at all of the decor. again big up i love soca for always bringing the best decor! Back to the jiungle juice!! you are either a hater or a lover and even tho Roal is making a face its not because the juice is bad.. it just want a little more rum…. take two, its should be ok by now and to confirm lets see what chad has to say!
That looks like an approval! But it is definetly a aquired taste and make sure you dont over do it and wake up in your car 4 h after you decided to Take a little nap… aaanyway . after the foundation is created, now its about enjoyment, follow the music the songs the performance, the vibes! And if the dj joins your side after his set you know you are doing something right! and to be perfectly honest, its not so much about what you drink, its about who you are going with and of course the event. and I love soca are just unmatche
