JHSN is a facilitator of health services through affiliated medical doctors and healthcare facilities throughout the island of Jamaica, and whose primary aim is to make specialized, premium healthcare services accessible to all Jamaicans. Health-e-Net Jamaica gives individuals the ability to be assured of a long and healthy life, barring accidents and natural disasters, by performing specific diagnostic tests that will identify conditions which cause life-threatening and debilitating illnesses (primarily cancers and cardiovascular diseases) in the early stages when they can be eradicated, cured or effectively controlled. Health-e-Net Jamaica provides direct access to packages of technologically advanced diagnostic tests under the supervision of a qualified physician (Health Assurance Packages ) that provide the comprehensive assessment necessary to identify these conditions in their early stages, at an affordable cost. The tests may also be accessed on an individual basis if desired. The Health Assurance Packages include combinations of specific blood and laboratory tests, diagnostic procedures, x-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans and MRIs, designed to diagnose cancers and cardiovascular diseases in their early stages. Health Assurance Packages are purchased at the individual’s discretion, but advice on best choices may be obtained by telephone consultation with a team of qualified nurses. Health-e-Net doctors utilize a computerized medical records system that is linked to several diagnostic facilities and laboratories, and completely and accurately records all the medical information of member patients, which make them accessible by patients via the internet, and by other Health-e-Net doctors when necessary. This means that a patient may visit any Health-e-Net doctor in the island, and their medical information will be immediately available to that doctor. This prevents repeating of tests already done, and provides a history of treatment failures with medications, so that these occurrences will not be repeated should the patient change doctors or move to another pat of Jamaica. All that would be required is for a patient to present a valid Health Care Assurance (HCA) card at the new location. The patient may also access their medical records, 24/7, through a dedicated Patient Portal, which is provided upon enrollment in Health-e-Net Jamaica. Dr. Clinton J Sewell is the Medical Director of Health-e-Net Jamaica. He is a Consultant Physician with practice concentrations in Diagnostic Cardiology and Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
