CREATIVE CORNER
At Grosvenor Galleries’ Creative Corner, a DIY art studio, we’ll provide you with all the supplies to tap into your inner artist and create your own works of art. Drop-in choices include working on stretched canvas, canvas panels, wood sign boards, cushions, cardboard memory boxes, driftwood angels, clay pots and wood cut-outs. We’ll give you everything you need and we’ll be here
to answer all your questions and assist you along the way. For maximum relaxation and enjoyment some workshops/parties and evening events may be child-free. We charge a flat price per project, which includes absolutely everything you will need to create your masterpiece. We’ll supply easels, aprons, brushes, paint, instructions, and whatever else necessary to create your chosen project. All works will be ready to be taken home at the end of the session. There are two ways to visit us:
Call or Email to Drop In Anytime - You’ll work on your own but we’ll provide you with guidance sheets and be on hand to offer as much advice and assistance as you may require. You will have up to two hours to complete your project. Artist-led Workshops or Paint Parties – An artist will guide you step-by-step through a pre-selected painting or other project. Please see our calendar for scheduled events. Can I paint whatever I want? You can use any of our pieces for inspiration or come up with your own ideas. We’re at an art gallery, so you’ll be surrounded by lots of creativity and imagination. Our paint parties are artist led with instructions given for a designated piece. We wont mind at all if you choose to paint something different during a party but we wont be able to provide individual instruction for it. Do I need to make a reservation? Yes, call or email us at anytime to drop-in. We don't need much advance notice but there may be an event scheduled and we don't want you to be inconvenienced. We host adult/kids birthday parties, office parties, bridal showers and other similar events. Additionally, special arrangements can be made for groups of 4 people or more if you want to visit anytime outside of our regular opening hours. Do I need to have any artistic experience or talent? Absolutely not! You don’t have to have any prior knowledge of painting or woodworking. Some of the most hesitant beginners produce some of the most incredible results. We’re not solely focusing on fine art techniques but rather giving you some basic guidelines, tools and assistance to help enjoy the process of creating art. Are refreshments available? Grosvenor Cafe is on-site where wine, drinks and food can be purchased. Opening Hours
