Iona’s New Playground!

After many weeks of hard work (complicated by a few storms 😅), we are happy to share that Iona has a new kitchen! Anyone that has been to The Pavilion 🌴 before knows that Iona’s meals are a MAJOR part of the experience. No one has ever left The Pavilion 🌴 without a happy and full belly.

We are so happy to give Iona her dream kitchen. She deserves it after 30 years with us!

The Pavilion 🌴 has just purchased 2 BRAND NEW 24-Inch HP Monitors to give our guests everything they need to in style!

Whether you have one person that needs both monitors or 2 people that want an extra monitor, these should help increase capacity for being able to do what you need while you enjoy the Jamaica sun 🌞🕶🇯🇲

These monitors have HDMI and VGA ports, but if you bring down a docking station, it should work with any laptop you have! We also have an HDMI/VGA to USB-C converter.

The last member to introduce on The Pavilion 🌴 Team is our Property Manager !

Shenique has been a part of The Pavilion 🌴 Team since 2017. Whether it is managing any of our renovation projects on the property or helping organize big events like weddings and bachelor / bachelorette parties, Shenique helps us and our guests get the most out of the property.

Shenique has organized countless events for us and helped coordinate projects at the villa, including new speaker installation, upgrading our Wi-Fi system, and protecting the property during inclement weather.

Shenique has been a wonderful addition to The Pavilion 🌴 Team and we are thankful to work with someone as experienced and dedicated as Shenique. Thank you so much Shenique for all that you do to keep The Pavilion 🌴 a magical place for friends & family to gather!!

Give it up for Iona!! Iona has been a part of The Pavilion 🌴 team since 1993! Iona started out doing a little bit of everything around the property before becoming the full time chef in 2002.

Anyone who has been to The Pavilion 🌴 before will tell you there is no better place to dine on the island than at The Pavilion 🌴 with Iona’s cooking! Iona is able to accommodate all allergies (gluten-free, vegetarian, etc.), so guests can always feel comfortable eating anything Iona serves if they have a dietary restriction!

From her classic Jamaican Jerk chicken to her famous chocolate soufflé for dessert, Iona is the difference maker that separates a regular trip to Jamaica from a trip to The Pavilion 🌴

You come to Jamaica for the weather, but you return to Jamaica for Iona’s food 🤤🤤🤤

Say hello to Glenford! Glenford has been a part of Team Pavilion 🌴 for 24 years! Glenford is the machine that keeps every important facet of The Pavilion 🌴 moving! From bringing your bags to your villas upon arrival, to serving every meal, Glenford is there to assist wherever needed.

On top of all of that, no trip to The Pavilion 🌴 is complete without having one of Glenford’s Famous Flaming Coffees after dinner! To see him in action, check out our prior post from February 2020 showing the process to make a flaming coffee!

Glenford has been absolutely fundamental in making The Pavilion 🌴 experience what it is today, and we are so blessed to have him be a part of our team. Thank you Glenford for all of your hard work and dedication to The Pavilion 🌴!

🤝🤝 MEET THE TEAM 🤝🤝

Meet Sandra! Sandra has been with The Pavilion 🌴 Team for 27 years! During her time with us, Sandra has done a little bit of everything, from helping prepare meals, to doing laundry, and even babysitting!

Currently, Sandra is our Chambermaid that takes care of every single bungalow on the property. After breakfast and when the group begins their daily activities, Sandra cleans all of the rooms, makes all beds; and ensures that the bungalow looks absolutely pristine once you return from your morning activities.

During dinner, Sandra comes around to each bungalow once again to turndown all beds and leave a fresh pitcher of water in case you wake up thirsty at night.

But most importantly, Sandra is one of the friendliest people on the island, and brings a smile to all of our repeat guests who know her well. Thank you so much Sandra for all that you’ve done for Team Pavilion 🌴 for 27 years!!

Meet Annette! Annette is what we call “the game changer” - Annette takes the normal vacation experience and makes it better than any other one you’ve been on by providing one major amenity: laundry 🧺!!

Instead of hustling around a hotel to find a coin laundry machine or throwing your dirty clothes in a trash bag to wash when you’re home, Annette takes all the laundry in the bins in each bungalows every morning, washes and dries them, and has the clothes folded back in your room 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙣𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 with a beautiful lavender scent!

You can pack lightly when coming to The Pavilion 🌴 knowing that you will have fresh laundry every day. Thank you so much to Annette for helping make The Pavilion 🌴 experience one of the best in the world !
