When the Corona Virus finally exhausts itself and the danger is over, let's do something good for our country,
Let's spend our vacations in Jamaica Eat in Jamaica restaurants, stay in hotels, have a spa day, buy Jamaican products, buy local meats and veggies and support local businesses. These businesses are going to find it very difficult to get back on their feet and survive without our help. They're suffering badly now. Our products are some of the best in the world. Our country is one of the most beautiful in the world

Mother Nature always finds a way. Our fast-paced, lack of sleep, no exercise, high-stress, bodies fueled with processed foods leaves us to be sitting ducks for new invaders. With an increase in the number of chronic health issues greatly increasing among humans, we are giving viruses good host bodies to invade. Our immune systems are weakening making it harder to keep the herd strong, not just COV-19 our lifestyle!!
,Drink up your Daily Turmeric Shot!!
• 1small orange (add 1-2 more oranges for added sweetness / omit and add another lemon for less sweetness!)
• 2 small lemons (add 1-2 more lemons for more acidity / reduce by half and add another orange for less acidity!)
• 1/4 cup chopped fresh turmeric (peeling optional)
• 1/4 cup chopped fresh ginger (peeling optional)
• 1/8 tsp fresh black pepper
• 1/4 tsp oil (such as extra virgin, optional / to help improve turmeric absorption)

• Peel orange, lemon, turmeric, and ginger (BLENDER: Add turmeric and ginger to a high-speed blender or small blender. Then add the juice of the orange and the lemons (this helps the mixture blend easier, and removes the pulp/rind). Add a little water if it has trouble blending but you shouldn’t need any. Then strain through a clean thin dish towel, small fine mesh strainer. Just be aware that turmeric can stain.
FOR STORING: Store any leftovers covered in the refrigerator up to 24 hours (though best when fresh).

The National Parenting Support Commission (NPSC) has established 36 helplines to support parents in all parishes as they grapple with the effects of COVID 19. This response is made possible through our strong partnership with UNICEF, VMBS Foundation and Fight for Peace.

Many parents have expressed difficulty attending to the responsibilities at home while simultaneously attending to their children's learning and the expectations of continuing the educational processes. Other parents are worried and are very uncertain as it relates to the impact of the disease.

In response, the NPSC has established helplines that are being manned by competent persons who are trained in Psychosocial First Aid. This specialised support is being offered to parents as they navigate these troubling times.

All parishes will be supported with information localized to each parish.

The National Parenting Support Commission assures parents that we care, we understand and we remain available to offer support.

Help is on the way?

Minister of Tourism, Hon. Edmund Bartlett provided some reassurance to tourism sector workers that the ministry continues to work with the Minister of Finance and the Public Service, Hon. Nigel Clarke, to work out a financial package for the affected tourism workers.

“All our stakeholders are also working together to develop and coordinate strategies for limiting the risks associated with this pandemic. I know that this is a difficult time as we all grapple with the threat of this new global pandemic. As we navigate these uncharted waters, I want you to know that we are working assiduously to cushion the impact that it will have on you and your livelihoods,” said Minister Bartlett.
