RIP REDSTRIPE my beautiful kitty. You were one of a kind. I will always remember the day I saved you as a tiny little baby. You will be missed by so many who came to Calabash House. Denzil loved you and took care of you while we were away. You too were inseparable. My 💗goes out to you my friend Denzill Owen. You took such great care of him. 💗💗💗💗

Calabash house was sold in june of 2019 to Sharyn Herman & Billy Laskowsky. Since they took control of the property they have made lots of needed improvements. A shower was added to each cottage, a new concrete gazebo 2 times bigger than old wooden one, a new outdoor kitchen amd seating area, solar hot water heater for cottages, upgraded wifi, and lots more. We also put on a new roof ( mainhouse) and lots of other things because of the devastation from hurricane Beryl. Please come join us.

7/13 UPDATE for Calabash House, Treasure Beach, Jamaica
Thought i would give an update

Denzill Owen has been working very hard to try to save the house. We have finally gotten a tarp over the exposed areas. Tarps in jamaica arent the best and very hard to find. We dont have BIG BOX hardware stores. Trying to get building materials is very hard

75% of all properties in TB are without roofs or totally destroyed.
Power is still out. JPS is saying hopefully 4-6 weeks to get power restored
No water as power is needed to run the pumping stations.
Finally starting to get the mango tress cut up and being hauled away
Insurance still hasnt let us know if damage will be covered or not.
What most people dont understand is that without the villa owners properties there is no work for the locals of treasure beach. We are trying to raise money to help Denzil and repair the house.
Denzill Owen has lost almost everything as he lives on our house. My good friends started a go fund me.
Please if you can help it would be greatly appreciated. Any amount would help.

Hurricane Beryl devastated the south coast of jamaica. Our house in Treasure Beach was devastated. We lost the roof. We will rebuild but it may take some time. We appreciate all our guests amd thank you for your continued support. We eill keep you updated.
