Today I went on tour with just one person, and it was great! He already knew a lot about Black River history, so I got the chance to delve into things that I wouldn't often do with a bigger group, especially one with folks who may not know much about the town. He asked really interesting questions, and took my thoughts to places that I don't get to discuss very often.

When I got home I was inspired to jump right into the part of this venture that I like best - the research! Re-discovering things about Black River that I've forgotten, or better yet, finding things that I'm learning for the first time, is just a wonderful feeling for me. I don't know if I'll be able to share it all in my lifetime, but what I can and do share is sweet to me, every time!

So thank you Mr. H. C., and thanks for paying me double! (That part sweet me too 😃)

Sagicor Bank Black River has taken a place in Black River history. The only remaining bank with a human presence in the town. Thanks for being there for us. When everywhere else runs out of cash, the manager and members of staff actually leave home (even on a weekend) to ensure there is cash available in Black River. I have seen this for myself.
The need for human interaction in the banking system is real. Thank you again!

Frigate birds (aka Man-o-war) hang out on a boatwreck in Black River Bay. These guys are pirates - they often steal from other birds rather than fish for themselves. Like nuff people!

Merry Christmas from Black River! To all who have come on my tour, endured my rambling reels, commented on my posts, given advice and encouragement in my journey to full time tour operator this year, I say a big big thank you! It has been a year that has taken some courage on my part, as well as maybe a little bit of not-so-righted. I guess this tree would give you an idea of that 😁
P.S. I give free consultations to those who would like a tree from outer space. Basically take any plant from your yard, and juk whatever you want in deh. My recipe this year is palm, with a touch of bamboo.
