Jordan Inspiration Tours Welcome to Jordan Inspiration Tours - Jordan's premiere tour company - the right mix for your trip We are Bedouins from Petra. Jordan has so much to offer.
(23)

We were born in a Bedouin tent on the mountain heights above Petra, just like all the other Bedouins in the area. When we were children our family and we would often take our rest and relaxation in the caves of the ancient city of Petra. Petra was our playground as children and our place of inspiration. We used to walk almost ten miles to school, and living in this ...openness made our minds open

and our dreams infinite. When we finished our higher education we decided to become guides and tour operators, a job we had wanted to do all our lives. Our grandfather told us that we are the descendents of the Nabataeans: Petra is the record of our culture and our civilization. It is from their spirits that we hope to start, and we want to preserve and care for the remains of what they built in this world. At the same time we want to express ourselves as we are today: as they left their footprints for us to follow, we want to leave an imprint in your lives. After many years guiding thousands of people from all over the world to see our homeland, we felt that the time had come for our dream to unfold and to become a reality: the idea was born for Jordan Inspiration Tours. The great love we hold in our hearts for our country, our people and our visitors and guests fills us with an enthusiasm to give – of ourselves, of Jordan – more than they expect. Our idea started as a vision before our eyes: to find a way that would help both the local society and the environment – by starting this new family-run business in tourism, by bringing people’s thoughts and feelings together to help us understand each other in a real way. We want to shorten the distance between all people in this world. Despite the conflicts in countries around us, Jordan is one of the safest places in the world. And so beautiful: we have almost 365 days of sun each year – and yet the climate is mild. We have wild mountains of unique rock formations; we have pink, black and yellow deserts; we have forests and dunes; we host 10,000 years of archaeological remains of human history. Jordan is small and yet at the same time vast. We want our guests to discover all they can about our culture and civilization so as to deepen our understanding of each other – especially when they feel the pulse of the warm Jordanian heart which loves everyone and believes that we live for the vast, rich experiences of this earth, inspired by love and peace. When it rains, it pours! This Wadi Rum a couple days ago....extremely beautiful!

Located on the eastern bank of the Jordan River, Bethany Beyond the Jordan attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over the world annually, as it is believed to be where Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist.

Excavations began in 1996 and has already uncovered more than 20 churches, caves and baptismal pools dating from the Roman and Byzantine periods. The path leading to the Jordan River transforms from a dry desert into a tropical oasis and it becomes clear why Prophet Jeremiah described it as "the jungle of the Jordan".

14 Little Things You Miss After Leaving Jordan:

1. Your driver/guide……
who slips you some coffee, maamoul or fresh fruit during the drive

2. Hearing the word Insha’Allah
“You’re not married? Hopefully you’ll find a good man/woman soon, Insha’Allah.”

Good wishes for you, promises for the future, followed by an “Insha’Allah” — if Allah wills it — that comes deeply from the heart… meaning that the speaker is full of good intentions

3. Sweet tea prepared over the fire
Sweet tea is one of the most important parts of Bedouin culture. It is spiced with cardamom and cinnamon, sweetened sugar, and prepared over an open fire

4. Jack Sparrow fashion
The eternal question in Jordan is: What came first, Jack Sparrow or the Bedouins? Kohl-rimmed eyes, long dark hair, headscarf… It’s quite easy to get them confused. It’s a centuries-old Bedouin tradition to rim the eyes with black kohl..... and the kohl & headscarf have practical reasons rather than fashion-related ones.

5. Being surrounded by ancient and living history with every step you take
From the ruins of Ajloun to Wadi Rum, there are Bedouins who still live like they’ve been living for hundreds of years. The farmers harvest the corn with traditional sickles; only the occasional ringing of an iPhone is a sign of our modern times. It’s hard to find another place where history is still as alive as in Jordan.

6. Road tripping with Arabic songs about love and heartbreak
The windows wide open, music blasting, driving along the road, gazing at the ever-changing landscape of Jordan, be it the rocks and mountains of Wadi Musa, the colorful sand dunes of Wadi Rum, or the valley of Dana. This beauty might just bring tears to your eyes.

7. Bedouin camps
Happiness is a tent with a bed, a magically refilling tea cup, the sound of a bonfire in the quiet of the desert night and a sky above that is not disturbed by any light pollution and shows itself in its original beauty.

8. The call to prayer
Peace and quiet can be found during the Islamic call to prayer, the Adhān, callled out by a muezzin five times a day. Listening to the muezzin always leaves one in a peaceful state of mind.

9. Bedouin stories
Being mesmerized listening to stories about Bedouin way of living, personal life, and culture, along with traditional folklore stories about bravery, honor, and love.

10. Eating melon after a long day in the desert
There is a special sweetness to fruits when you eat them after a long day walking through the desert, having breathed in the sand and the dust of millennia. The juice running down your dry throat, licking your fingers clean — it feels like you’ve never really tasted melons, apples, or oranges before.

11. The feeling of nothing but infinity in front of you.
You remember leaving the desert of Wadi Rum, hiding from the hot midday sun in the shade of some palms in an oasis. Birds crossing the sky above, the quiet burbling of a hidden little spring behind — nothing but infinity in front.

12. Feeling weightless in the Dead Sea
It’s amazing to float on the surface, looking at the pale, flickering mountains in the distance. Until you make a wrong movement and accidently swallow a liter of liquid salt!

13. Ice cold lemonade with mint
This ice-cold juice made from freshly-squeezed lemons and mint leaves may be the most refreshing thing you’ve ever tasted!

14. The feeling of freedom
When sipping tea alone right on the edge of a deep cliff, looking over the vast desert far beneath while feeling the warm wind in your hair and little drops of sweat running down your body, you get a taste of infinite freedom and understand why so many Bedouins chose the hardship of their traditional lifestyle over a comfortable flat in Amman.

"Our family had an AMAZING time in Jordan for 10 days in November 2023!

If you’re on the fence about traveling right now, especially with children, do not hesitate. The Jordanians are very welcoming and friendly – seize this opportunity to visit the sites with few crowds.

We rode into Petra on horseback with no crowds versus being on foot and body to body with others, all wanting the magical moment, when the Treasury presents itself.

We felt very safe every step of the way! Our guide, Sami, and driver, Abed, were excellent! Their care for us, and attention to detail was outstanding – we left feeling a part of their family.

Jordan Inspiration Tours is awesome to work with, they will create the itinerary of your dreams – ours was the perfect mix of history, sightseeing and adventure. A true vacation that will remain with us for years to come. Do not miss the opportunity to visit beautiful Jordan – she doesn’t disappoint!"

Jordanian traditional dance is called Dabka. It's the national dance of Jordan and several other neighboring countries. It is a form of both circle dance and line dancing and is widely performed at weddings and joyous occasions.

Hiking in the Wadi bin Hammad is like hiking in a subtropical rain forest. Water seeps from every crevice while an abundance of plants and palm trees grows vicariously from the canyon walls displaying all different hues of green.

The dripping water paints the underlying rock surfaces various shades of red while crystal-type stalactites dangle from above. Around every corner, there is another breathtaking view to be discovered!
