Wildflowers in the desert?

🌼 You might not expect it, but Wadi Rum is full of flora and fauna! Even in the toughest conditions, life finds a way (as David Attenborough would say).
🌼 The best months to see wildflowers are in March and April.
🌼 The most common wildflowers are white and purple desert campions (pictured), crocus, and rosemary.
🌼 Desert plants survive with very limited supplies of water and have slow metabolisms to conserve water Utah’s (a bit like camels).
🌼 Bedouins have been using various herbs and plants in Rum for generations to treat illnesses and improve their health.

Our Story

I grew up with tourists in Wadi Rum and I've spent my whole life working in the desert, welcoming people from all over the world. I think it's a great privilege to live somewhere so beautiful and be able to share this beauty with others - it's also really fun meeting travellers from all walks of life and hearing their stories! As a Bedouin, our culture of hospitality is second to none and I love doing everything I can to make guests feel at home here. I wouldn't change my job for the world!
