If you haven`t had a chance to visit, we would like to share a short video at the History Museum this past autumn when the leaves from the Ginko trees begin to turn to gold🌟✨. The garden outside the Ibaraki Prefectural History Museum becomes a beautiful golden carpet woven with the leaves from the Ginko trees. ✨🌟
We hope you are amazed and intrigued to visit Ibaraki Prefecture Museum in 2022. In early to mid-November the museum holds a “History Museum Ginkgo Festival” 🎑where you can enjoy traditional Japanese cultural events on the weekends or holidays.

Yuki Tsumugi is a traditional silk pongee produced in Yuki City in Ibaraki. Although Yuki Tsumugi is woven by silken threads, it has a rough texture. The luxurious pongee has been designated as one of the Important Intangible Cultural Properties of Japan, and has also been inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
