Pretty shibazakura (moss phlox) cover the hillside for a month from early May to early June, blanketing it in bright pink and filling the air with a sweet fragrance. 💗
Starting from humble beginnings with just enough seedlings to fill a cardboard box, the flowers at Takinoue Park continued to multiply every year, eventually growing into a large colony of 100,000 m2. 🌸
If you visit in early May, you can also check out the park’s yearly Fairy Tale Village Takinoue Shibazakura Festival. 🧚‍♀️
