Ayabe City, Kyoto Prefecture, is about 70 minutes by train from Kyoto Station. Right now in the city’s Gunze Square, roughly 1,200 roses of about 170 varieties are in full bloom at the Spring Rose Festival, on until June 30. This rose garden was lovingly cultivated by local volunteers. Among the 170 varieties, the most symbolic is perhaps "Anne’s Rose," a special type tied to the German-born Jewish girl who wrote “The Diary of Anne Frank.” The varietal originated from a sapling sent to Japan by Anne’s father, which was then nurtured and propagated by a local family in Ayabe. Don’t miss the chance to see this precious rose, imbued with a heartfelt wish for peace.😇

Green leaves glowing bright at temples add sparkle to early summer✨🌳
要不要來趟綠意盎然的初夏寺廟巡禮呢？✨🌳

Everyone adores the incomparable scenery of autumn foliage at temples in Japan, but the start of summer offers its own unique brand of beauty, namely the lush green maple leaves called "Ao Momiji." Tamba City in Hyogo Prefecture is easily accessible, just an hour by train from Osaka. 12 temples in the city offer the pleasures of the Japanese maple at their verdure best. The air in Kansai is already getting humid, so come bask in the soothing, cool visage of these radiant leaves amid the temple’s tranquility. Don’t forget to get the special goshuin stamp only available from April 20 to June 30 for the Ao Momiji season.

Even after Sakura season, stunning flower fields abound! The secret rose garden at Rainbow Line Summit Park is one of the best.🌈🌹
緊接在櫻花季之後，另一個不能錯過的絕景賞花勝地！今天要介紹給大家的是「彩虹之路山頂公園」的秘密玫瑰園。🌈🌹

This lookout on the mountain peak offers a view of the Mikatagoko, which are five lakes that border the Sea of Japan in Fukui Prefecture. The classic way to enjoy it is to take photos under a rental rainbow umbrella. From around mid-May to June, 600 roses of 110 varieties will be in full bloom.
Normally, the only public transportation from the station is by taxi, but from April 26 to November 24, 2025, the “Gokoichi Bus” will run from Tsuruga Station to Summit Park on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays only! Don’t miss this limited-time opportunity for easy access to enjoy the rose garden in the sky.
