-UFO Festival 2024-
On Saturday, November 9, the third annual UFO Festival 2024 will be held in Iino Town, Fukushima City, known as ‘The Home of UFOs’.
The festival's main event, the Alien Costume Parade and Contest, will be attended by approximately 2,000 people from Japan and abroad, filling the town with aliens, making it one of the largest UFO and alien-focused events in Japan.
Many food and beverage stands will be open, including Iino Town's specialty UFO Elephant Garlic, UFO Gyoza (dumplings), and Oonabe Tonjiru (pork miso soup in a large pot).

[Free Shuttle Bus]
On Saturday, October 9, a free shuttle bus will run directly from JR Fukushima Station (West Exit) to the venue (approx. 25 minutes).

(Outward) Departure from JR Fukushima Station West Exit Bus Terminal: 9:30, 10:00, 11:00, 11:30, 12:30, 13:00
(Return) Departure from Iino Town Chamber of Commerce and Industry: 14:00, 14:30, 15:30, 16:00

Bandai-Azuma Skyline Winter Closure Notice in 2024

[Winter road closure] 
The road will be closed in winter from Friday, November 15, 2024 at 17:00 until late April 2025.

[Nighttime road closure]
From November 1 (Fri.), the road will be closed at night from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. the following morning.

Only a few more days left of this year that you can drive along this road. If you are planning to make a trip, please be sure to do so as soon as possible!

A large gathering of delicious foods from Tohoku! (Friday, August 30 and Saturday, August 31, 2024)
Fukushima City Tourism & Convention Association will have a booth at “more TOHOKU Marché” in Sendai City!
At the “Fukushima Peach Holiday” booth, we will sell sweet peaches, peach juice made by Fukushima City orchards, peach smoothies, and other seasonal specialty products!
In addition, there will be a variety of other attractive local products from the Tohoku region. Please come and discover the charm of Tohoku this weekend!

Doaidate Park is located in Matsukawa-machi, in the southern part of Fukushima City. It is also known as "Hydrangea Park" with approximately 40 varieties and 5,000 hydrangeas planted on both sides of the park's promenade.
The park is also known as "Hydrangea Park." Many tourists visit the park every year from early to mid-July, making it one of Fukushima City's most popular places to view hydrangeas.
On June 28 and 29, 2024, "Matsukawa-machi Ajisai Komichi" (Matsukawa-machi Hydrangea Alley) will be held, and on the 28th, a part of the park will be lit up and an eve festival will be held to enjoy the hydrangeas.
