Chomonkyo Gorge (5.1 km) along the Abugawa River from Ato, Yamaguchi City to Kawakami, Hagi City on November 5th.
It was still a little early for the autumn color, but the scenery of the river and rocks changing their appearance from upstream to downstream was impressive. After the walk, grilled ayu fish and miso soup are exceptionally delicious.

Due to the high tide, the Itsukushima Shrine temporarily stopped the entry of visitors for safety this morning. We were already in the shrine and could enjoy strolling on the ‘Floating Shrine’.
