Chugoku Shimbun morning ition, September 6, 2024, "Hiroshima 頼 山陽 San'yō Rai (1780-1832)-related materials designated as national important cultural property: Edo period life as told by the Fudemame family"

The Rai Sanyo Historical Museum will be holding an exhibition commemorating the designation as an important cultural property from October 19th to December 1st. On August 27th, approximately 5,000 "Hiroshima San'yō Rai-related materials" held by the Rai Sanyo Historical Museum (Naka-ku, Hiroshima) were designated as national important cultural properties (important cultural properties).

Although there is a historical museum in the city center, Yoriie is not well known among the people of Hiroshima. We hope that the designation as a national important cultural property will lead to the discovery of the value of the related materials, making them known to many people and sparking their interest.

　中心部に史跡資料館がありながら、広島の人があまり知らない頼家。国の重文指定を契機に、関係資料の価値が見出され多くの人に知れ渡り、関心を持ってくれることを期待している。

Many countries maintain strong economic and political relationships with due to their own interests. As a result, some have sent government-sponsored journalists to East Turkistan to spread pro-China propaganda, falsely claiming that there is no genocide.

Additionally, certain individuals, motivated by self-interest, are secretly contacted by Chinese authorities and invited to visit their families in East . These individuals, whether acting as agents of China or as intermediaries, visit occupied East Turkistan to falsely portray that no genocide is occurring.

In doing so, they betray their own people, aid China in denying the Uyghur genocide, and encourage further atrocities against humanity, undermining the East Turkistan cause.

Many of these individuals are Uyghurs who sought asylum and gained citizenship in countries such as Pakistan, Central Asia, , as well as in , the United States, , and .

Those who assist in China’s denial of the genocide should be scrutinized, and the countries that grant them asylum must review their status to ensure they are not complicit in concealing or denying the Uyghur genocide.
