Iiyama has an area called "Kosuge": once thrived as the place for Yamabusi (mountain monks) to train themselves in a holly mountain. Based on this interesting history, we are now offering special "Yamabushi Experience Tour". You can find about "what is Yamabushi?", "what is this tour?" etc. in the webpage below!

Learn about the ancient practices of Mountain Asceticism from a practicing yamabushi at Kosuge Shrine in Northern Nagano.

Enjoy Hiking the Japanese first long trail, Shin-etsu Trail, in Iiyama Nagano.
The Shin-etsu Trail is a 110 km long path that runs along the border between Nagano and Niigata Prefectures. The trail is divided for 10 sections and we have released a travel package tour that enjoy hiking the part of it, section 5. We highly recommend the beautiful scenery of the beech tree forest that changes the leave’s color in this season. You can enjoy lots of autumn leaves and silence in the nature here.
