A gorilla in our bus! The taste of Kanazawa in any corner of the world!

How did it happen?

One of our values is collaborating with local companies to contribute more to the region’s development.

This time we teamed with Go!Go!CURRY - one of the best places to enjoy Kanazawa curry - to make a special souvenir for you.

Kanazawa curry is a local type of curry, with denser sauce than others.

We prepared for you this specialty as one serving of curry in a retort pouch, which makes it so easy to enjoy Kanazawa’s famous comfort food in any country of the world.

Kanazawa Adventures’ special Go!Go!CURRY edition is available in the souvenir corner at Kanazawa Sainoniwa Hotel

Recently we’ve gone to Fukui Prefecture to deepen our understanding of its wonders so we can share more with you.
We were awed by local knife making craft (the knives made here are used by famous chefs throughout the world!) and had a moment of peacefulness in Eiheiji temple. Echizen Soba meal was also amazing!
Fukui Prefecture is truly just right when you want to unwind after busy big cities and come closer to nature.

By the way, from the 16th of March Hokuriku Shinkansen line starts operating from Kanazawa to Fukui, so it becomes possible to visit Fukui directly from Tokyo without changing trains ✨

Sakura Spots in Kanazawa 🌸

First of all, Kenrokuen Garden. During cherry blossom season there is illumination in the evening and the entrance is free of charge!
Then we have Kanazawa Castle Grounds where you can enjoy evening illumination too.
(It’s so convenient that these two spots are so close to each other that you can visit both is no time)

If you prefer more spacious variants, Asano river area is very recommended. You can enjoy the view near Higashi Chaya Geisha district there or walk along the river, getting inspired with breathtaking combination of sakura and mountain landscape.

The last but not least is Kakuma Campus of Kanazawa University. It is not a touristic place, but still very famous with its splendor of cherry tree rows that welcome new and old students in the beginning of each study year.

What kind of sakura spot is more suitable for you?
Some of them are included in our bus tours 🍀

For the mountain lovers!

The previously introduced Kurobe Dam is included in the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, located between Toyama and Nagano Prefectures.

The route is not operating in winter, but depending on the season you visit there are snowy mountains, rich green and breathtaking autumn leaves views awaiting.

There are different ways to enjoy the route: some people use it as a starting point for hiking and climbing Tateyama mountain range, and others choose to explore all the stops on the way between Mt.Tateyama and Mt. Akazawa-dake - this includes riding a tunnel trolley bus, ropeway and cable car.

If you come from Toyama prefecture side in spring, you can also enjoy the famous snow tunnels on the way.

Are you more into climbing and hiking or exploring through the cable car and ropeway route?

Planning your trip to the Hokuriku area, Japan? We will be happy to organize your adventure!

It seems that in the past the spring used to come earlier in Japan, but nowadays this phrase reminds us that sakura season in coming.

Senmaida Rice Terraces from May to September 2023
Recognized as Japan's First Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System (GIAHS), Shirayone Senmaida is composed of 1004 rice terraces overlooking the Sea of Japan, all of them planted and harvested by hand.
We're sharing some of the pictures we took every week since the rice planting at the beginning of May to the harvest on September 17.
You can appreciate the change in the color and undeniable charm during every month. It's also a beautiful sight during winter when covered in snow.
