Even today they are a source of comfort, fear and entertain; very much still an integral part of Japanese culture. And who’s to say they don’t exist? They certainly do on Shodoshima

Finally made it to Hokkaido in the summer and have been exploring Furano and the STUNNING surrounding area. Thanks to the wonderful we started our day with fabulous coffee at one of the few places open before 11 (why don’t Japanese need coffee in the morning?!), before hiking into an active volcano and then being welcomed by the owner of an incredible art museum to eat wagyu wrapped burgers in their lovely cafe. Can’t wait to come back to explore more with Brad & Jacksan 🐾
