Nyoi-Ji Temple Cherry Blossoms
The Cherry blossoms at Nyoi-Ji Temple are in bloom and looking fabulous.
The atmosphere is so calming and relaxing the perfect place and time to just feel spring flowing through you.
Winters in Kyotango don't get super cold, at least compared to some places, but we do get a bit of snow.
While the snow at the coast melts pretty quickly, if you go a little bit inland it piles up and you can get some lovely snowy scenes. Although the coastline has its own dramatic waves which are worth a look at.
Please enjoy our "Kyotango in the Snow" video slideshow.
Ps. It's better with sound.

The days are getting colder, and the waves are getting bigger, which means Crab season has started again!
Take a look at part 1 of our 3 part series on Taiza Crab: >https://visitkyotango.com/news/1997
This will be the first year the crab auctions will take place entirely within Taiza's new seafood auction building.
It was finished last winter just before the pandemic got serious and has new facilities and procedures in place for ensuring hygiene😷
Just in time really.
