🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️ We cycled along Japan Sea shore from Tottori to Kyoto under very comfortable weather of spring time. There were quiet beaches and nice hot springs on our way. 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️

🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️ I participated in a cycling event which was held at Tatsuno Town in Nagano Prefecture this week. There were salt roads from Japan Sea and Pacific Ocean to mountain area in old time and Tatsuno Town is just located at the ends of salt roads from north and south. About sixty cyclists enjoyed cycling along the old salt roads and stopped at historical spots on their way. 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️

🚴🚴🚴 We cycled in Tsumari area in Niigata Prefecture where Echigo-Tsumari Art Field 2022, an outdoor art festival is now held. We enjoyed looking around artworks and terraced paddy fields in mountains on our way which is a good combination. 🚴🚴🚴

🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️ We cycled up to Shibu Pass of which elevation is 2152 m and located at the border between Gunma and Nagano Prefecture. The pass is about at the highest point of Japanese national road and is popular among cyclists. We stayed at Manza Hot Spring in the area at night and could refresh ourselves soaked in sulphur bath. 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️

🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️ We did two days bike tour around Tsuchiura which is a popular place among cyclists. We started from Ishioka and cycled along lake shores of Nishiura and Kasumigaura. We stayed at a cyclist hotel named BEB5 in Tsuchiura where we could bring our bikes in our rooms. Next day we cycled along a cycling road of Tsukuba Ring-Ring road from Tsuchiura to Iwase. Farmers were busy in planting nursery rice into their paddies. We extended our way to Mooka where Mooka Railways Company was operating preserved steam locomotives in weekend. 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️

🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️ We went cycling to Lake Kitaura, Ibaraki Prefecture, which is located between Lake Kasumigaura and Pacific Ocean. It was a chilly spring day, but we enjoyed cycling along lakeside. 🚴🚴🚴

🚴🚴🚴 As pandemic situation seems to improve here and the season is perfect for cycling, we went cycling to Mt. Yamizo area in Tochigi and Fukushima prefectures in a small group. We enjoyed autumn colours and Onsen, hot springs there. We hoped that the situation will keep improving and we will cycle as before. 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️
