Hello!🦌 We guided three groups; a couple from New Zealand, a couple from China, a family from Australia.

We invited tourists to a tour at Todaiji-temple and Kasuga taisha-shrine, and they had a great time. Each group had different reasons for visiting Japan, but all of them were satisfied with sightseeing in Nara. That made me proud😎 I became happy when they said “I didn’t know about it and your guide made our trip better!”

I’m not getting used to guiding and it is challenging for me to match tourists’ interests. Nevertheless I believe that I can explain the overview about Todaiji-temple and Kasuga taisha-shrine from the outside ✨

Although it was short time, I’m happy to make your trip enjoyable!! Have a safe and pleasant trip ✈️🎶

Hello, we guided a couple from Australia🇦🇺

When I asked them if I could help their sightseeing, they readily accepted.

I was so happy. Surprisingly, they work in science jobs such as mathematics teacher.
I'm not good at mathematics, so I want them to teach me how to solve the problems of mathematics! lol

It was a short time, but we enjoyed talking and they looked surprised at some imformation of Kasugataisha Shrine.

They told us that they are going to visit Hiroshima tomorrow✨

They were interested in deer and admired deer whenever they saw many deer🦌
And they asked me a lot of question about temples of Nara.
They visited many places, Kyoto, Gifu(Takayama and Shirakawa-go)and Tokyo and are going to go Osaka castle✨

We had fun playing with traditional mechanical toys in Naramachi Mechanical Toy Museum a lot! She said it was much more fun than expected. Thanks for following my suggestion😆
We were lucky and able to try traditional New Year’s toys. One of them was “hagoita”, which is like badminton. Each hagoita has pictures and we found our year animals. What a coincidence!

We also enjoyed talking a lot on the way and shared our cultures and daily lives. She just graduated from college, and said it’s kind of weird that she won’t study that hard anymore and somehow a bit sad. I admire her and her story motivated me to study hard like her✨

Thank you so much for coming to Nara! I hope you enjoy rest of the trip, and we can see each other again sometime!

I guided tourists from Singapore🇸🇬
We are about the same age and they are friends from the high school boat club. They were very close and laughed all the time😂

One of his grand parents live in Osaka. They have about 9 months off before they graduate and go to college. Because they have been interested in Japan since high school, they came here on the trip!

We enjoyed Nara a whole day! We went to some temples, a shrine and a Japanese garden. After that, we had kakinoha sushi, soft cream, baked sweet potato, and rice cake.
And feeding deer was fun and they took many photo!

We especially enjoyed the sake tasting! We were just starting to drink. It was for the first time to drink Japanese sake and easier to drink than we had imagined. They listened carefully to her explanation, and most of them bought sake as souvenirs for their families. I was glad they all found their favorite sake☺️

we talked a lot! Thank you for teaching me so much about Singapore and some slang.

Today I had a wonderful time with a kind man from Brazil🇧🇷. Brazil is far away, and I was surprised at the number of connections and the length of the flights✈️

He is a school teacher and I was happy to hear that he was really looking forward to coming to Japan☺️ He shares the places of his travel with his students on Instagram! Also, he spoke very passionately about how he treats his students☺️ I wish I could have been taught by teachers like him😌✨

He also told me about his local Brazilian food, Moqueca Caipira (seafood dish, sorry if I'm wrong), which he said is delicious! I would love to go to Brazil someday and try it🥰

I guided a lovely tourist from Singapore🇸🇬 and her friend.

I was surprised to know they met at the cooking school in Japan. Until then, they are close and went to hot spring togather the day before the guide.

We went to the cafe with good atmosphere near Saidaiji station and Nara Palace Site Historical Park.

The site was very vast and contained several restored structures. Visitors can feel the history of the Nara period, and the area was suitable for strolling and jogging.

We went to two modern museum with so many exhibitions there. We studied how to built these buildings and the life of people in the past. The building techniques were amazing, especially the use of wood without nails!

We enjoy talking a lot.

They are so kind and friendly that cared about my health🥹🙏 Now I’m fine! Thank you✨

They know a lot of Japanese anime and tried to speak Japanese! It was great, then I thought I should have practiced their first language, Chinese again( Actually I learned it last year🥲) However, we enjoyed talking about cultural differences, tourist attractions in Singapore, recommended anime and so on!

From Italy🇮🇹

We went to Todaiji Temple, Kasuga Taisha Shrine, Nigatsudo Hall, and Yoshijoen Garden.
It is a little sad this season because the autumn leaves have fallen.

They were from Italy, but now they are living in Luxembourg🇱🇺. They both went abroad for graduate school and I learned how strong the connection between European universities is.
His brother is currently at Kyoto University in Japan, and I surprised to hear that.

I guided kind tourists from Hongkong🇭🇰

He is studying Japanese and tried to take N2.

They liked Japanese anime and knew a lot about Japanese culture. It was interesting to see what people outside of Japan think of Japanese culture. There are some differences between actual Japanese culture and anime, though😂

He also showed me a picture of him and his friends with many Chiikawas. I was surprised to know that Chiikawa is famous in Hong Kong!
I heard that Doraemon and Kamen Rider are also famous in Hong Kong. I am glad he was able to buy big dorayaki that is over 16 centimeters long!

Hello! We had a wonderful tourist from New Zealand 🇳🇿✨

We visited Todaiji temple, Nigatsudo Hall, Kasugataisha shrine, and Naramachi.

This was my first time guiding a solo tourist. Usually, I take visitors to nearby and famous spots, but this time I had the chance to visit one of my favorite places, Nigatsudo Hall. Getting there required a bit of a walk, but she didn't mind. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery from there ✨ While guiding a larger group is fun, I learned that guiding a few people is enjoyable in a different way 🥰

I had not posted about this, but it was early December and a perfect day for taking fall pictures 🍁

She is from New Zealand but now lives in New York. She told me a lot about her life there. Living and working in New York is not easy. She is really intelligent and independent. I was surprised to learn about her experience with the subway 😳

Thank you so much for spending time with me! I hope to see you again in New Zealand, New York, or Japan! ‪🫶

Hi, there. I guided two families from the States🇺🇸 They are each traveling around Japan!

It's good weather today☀️We visited Nara Park, Todaiji temple, and Kasugataisha shrine, and we enjoyed walking Nara city.

Every time they found deer, they fed and petted them☺️ We saw many deer, such as sleepy deer, baby deer, and long-horned deer.🦌

2024 is almost over.
How was your 2024?
For me, I dedicated myself to studying in my university and faced myself✨

I had a great time with a lovely couple who are studying at a university in Madrid🫧

They know a lot about Japanese culture, and I was surprised when they guessed what I was going to explain✨ When I talked about the "kadomatsu" decoration for New Year's in front of the house, they compared it to the culture in their hometown⭐️ It made me realize that sometimes learning about other cultures can help us understand our own culture better🙌

This day was Christmas Eve🎄 They ware going to spend in Nara, so l recommended some restaurants to them. I hope they had a lovely night🥰

Hi! Today, we guided five cool gentlemen from Texas 😻
We visited Todaiji Temple, Kohukuji Temple, Nara Park, Yoshikien Garden, and Himuro Shrine .

They came to Nara just for deer and they kindly requested our guide service. They enjoyed many things besides deer🧊🌮🍶

This guide was my first English training and my skill is lacking. Nevertheless everyone listened seriously and react, which made me feel like what I had prepared was understood☺️ This experience enhanced my determination to guide more clearly and more interestingly!!

Thank you so much for today! Every time you asked, “Can you guide another place?”, I was happy🥹 Enjoy the rest of your trip in Japan🍀

Hello! We guided a man from Canada🇨🇦
We went to Todaiji Temple, Kasugataisha shirine and Nara park.
He bought deer crackers twice!
He was so interested in deer🦌
He was very kind and a funny person!
We were happy that he looks like fun and laughs a lot😆
And, he know many Japanese words such as "itadakimasu" and "tensaidesu(You are genius)and so on!! We were suprised😲

He was listening to my explanations of temples and shrines.
I was happy to see so many reactions☺️

hi! I guided a beautiful woman from Sydney, Australia. 🇦🇺
This is her second time coming to japan. We went to a festival at the kasuga taisha shrine "kasuga wakamiya onmaturi". actually I've never been to this festival. I enjoyed this event with her a lot. Firstly, we see " owatarishiki". It is a kind of parade. There were performance groups ,miko, children, and so on. Their clothes were traditional. It was beautiful. We also saw the horse race. They were very fast and powerful. Finally, we were able to see children's archery riding on horses. Their techniques of archery were very good. but it was very cold, so we were always stomping haha.
I was happy to see the traditional festival. 🥰
We enjoyed Kamameshi for lunch. It was delicious. We also enjoyed talking. our hoby, daily life, and love talk. Love talks are popular and funny in every country. I like it.😂
She will spnet 6weeks in japan.

We went to many places. kofukuji temple, kasuga taisha shrine, todaiji temple, shin yakushiji temple, gangoji temple, japanese garden and nigiwai no ie.our schedule was very tite., but we enjoyed the tour and talking.
The monk of Gangoji temple told us the history of the building's roof. The third picture is the first roofs of japan. 😲These are careful and very valuable. We were surprised to hear that.
I was happy they enjoyed my quizzes. ☺️
Our lunch is mainly tempura. It was delicious.🍤

Hi there! We guided a generous couple from America🇺🇸

The man was from New York and the woman was from California, so they told us the difference between them! I was surprised he climbed the stairs very quickly. He said that’s because he’s a Ney Yorker😂 Also, I didn’t know that while New Yorkers talk straight about everything, Californian talk indirectly like Kyoto people!

We also discussed various topics from relationships to politics. It was interesting to know American perspectives✨

They enjoyed feeding deer so much that they bought 3 packs of deer crackers! Thanks for letting us feed deer, too!
