These lotuses belong to the "Yosankouren" variety, known for their vivid pink color.

As evening falls, a large number of people dance around a large three-tiered yagura (tower) that is rare in Japan.

The "Koshiki Yu Matsuri" (Ancient Style Hot Spring Festival) is held on the last Sunday of September every year in the Shiobara Onsen area, where prayers are offered for the abundant flow of hot springs.
The festival begins with collecting sacred hot spring water (Goshintou) at Motoyu Onsen, the origin of Shiobara Onsen, and presenting it at Shiobara Hachimangu Shrine.
Next, people dressed in traditional attire form a procession, carrying the sacred hot spring water and parading through the Shiobara Onsen town.
The procession concludes at Yuppo no Sato, where a ritual is performed to distribute the hot spring water to shrines and hot spring facilities in each district of Shiobara♨

The ice creams in the photo are pink tomato (made with tomatoes from Nasushiobara) and white amazake ginger (made with amazake from Ohtawara). Amazake is a traditional sweet Japanese beverage made by adding rice koji to cooked rice, and it contains no alcohol.
These ice creams feature seasonal ingredients grown in Tochigi Prefecture. Perfect for hot summers🍦

Every year on July 28th, the Shiobara Onsen Kawasaki Daishi Apotropaism Acala Festival is held.
Monks lead a procession through Shiobara Onsen, perform a ritual burning of a wooden altar on the mountainside of Mt. Fuji (Mt. Sumaki Fuji), and offer prayers to Fudo Myoo (Acala) enshrined at the summit.

“Seikinro”, located in the Shiobara Onsen town, is a hot spring inn that has been in operation since the first year of the Meiji era (1868).
The Meiji-era literary master Koyo Ozaki stayed at this inn and wrote his famous novel “Konjiki Yasha(The Gold Demon)” there.
Originally, this hot spring inn was called "Sanoya", but it was renamed "Seikinro" because it served as the model for the inn "Seikinro" in the novel.
The three-story wooden main building, constructed during the Meiji period (1868-1912), and the room where Koyo Ozaki stayed can be visited by guests staying in the annex or the new building♨

It is located in the Itamuro area of Nasu-Shiobara City, and is part of the Nikko National Park.
There are well-maintained wooden paths that allow you to walk around and admire various flowers and plants throughout the seasons.
