t’s "Unique Festival that heralds the arrival of spring in Suruga Bay.
The "Ose Festival and Uchiura Fishing Port Festival" is held on April 4 every year.
The Ose Festival is an annual festival at Ose Shrine that gathers the faith of the fishermen of Suruga Bay.
It is also called the "Miracle Festival of Heaven" because a dancing boat carrying young men dressed in long robes and whitewashed faces sails to worship at Ose Shrine, and young men dressed as women dance the "Brave Dance" to the tune of "Chanchara Okashi".
When the dancing boat arrives at the quay, the boat throws bales into the sea, and the young men who swim to pick them up visit the shrine to pray for a great catch and safe navigation.

The Atami Sea Fireworks Festival is a historic fireworks display that began in 1952 (Showa 27). It is an Atami specialty that is held more than 10 times throughout the year, not only in summer.

The venue, Atami Bay, is surrounded by mountains on three sides, so the sound of fireworks raised in the sea reverberates, creating an acoustic effect similar to that of a large stadium. It is a fireworks launch venue that fireworks companies also rave about!

The fireworks in the night sky, the fireworks reflected on the surface of the water, and the beauty of the "Niagara in the Sky" that decorates the finale are so beautiful that you will forget to blink.

The "Rice Bowl Battle," a gourmet event where you can enjoy freshly caught seafood, is an annual winter gourmet event on the island where 16 restaurants on the island, mainly cafeterias run by fishermen on the island, serve their own "original rice bowls" using plenty of seasonal ingredients such as freshly caught local fish, squid, shrimp, and Izu's specialty vegetable Ash*taba.

At this time of year, four types of cherry blossoms (Atami cherry blossoms, Kawazu cherry blossoms, Oshima cherry blossoms, and Yoshino cherry blossoms) are in full bloom on the warm island of Hatsushima, and tropical flowers such as bird of paradise and aloe are in full bloom. In addition, flowers unique to spring, such as r**e flowers and 10,000 tulips that compete with cherry blossoms, are also in full bloom, making it truly an "island of flowers". After eating, you can take a walk around the island for only about an hour, and you can feel the early spring.
