日中は瀬戸田も雪が舞っていたらしいです。

ガイド業務に備えて、店舗に篭って調べ物や準備をしていたので知りませんでした💦

一昨年あたりから協力ガイドさんにガイド業務はお願いする事が多くなってきたので、忘れてしまっている事が多く、今日はいろんな資料等をしっかり読み込んで復習しました。😅

今年も協力ガイドさんに積極的にお願いするようになりますので、私の出番は少なくなりますが、お客様にたくさん笑顔になっていただけるよう、全力でガイドを務めさせていただきます。

今日は風も強くて寒かったですが、夕景は綺麗でした。

It seems that snow was falling in Setoda during the day.

I didn't know because I was staying in the store researching and preparing for my guide duties💦

Since about last year, we have been asking our cooperating guides to do guide duties more and more, so I often forget, and today I thoroughly read various materials and reviewed them. 😅

This year, we will be actively asking our cooperating guides to do guide duties, so my turn will be less, but I will do my best to guide so that our customers can smile a lot.

Today was windy and cold, but the evening scenery was beautiful.

日本の風物詩？「こたつにみかん」😄

今日は寒かったですね。

お世話になっている農家さんにご協力いただいて撮影しました。

島のあちこちで柑橘の実がなる風景はこの時期ならでは。

今日は2月中のガイドツアーに向けて、ガイドさんとの打ち合わせや、私がガイドを担当する準備も。

新たに協力してくださるガイドさんも訪ねてきてくださいました。

久々に友人とも会って楽しく食事を。

皆さんとお話ししていると、ほんとうに春が来るのが楽しみです。

A Japanese seasonal feature? "Tangerines in a kotatsu" 😄

It was cold today.

This photo was taken in November 2019.

It was taken with the cooperation of the farmers who have been kind to us.

The scenery of citrus fruits growing all over the island is unique to this time of year.

Today, I had a meeting with the guides for the guided tours in February, and I also prepared to be in charge of guiding.

A new guide who will be cooperating with us also came to visit us.

I met up with friends for the first time in a while and had a fun meal.

Talking with everyone, I'm really looking forward to the arrival of spring.

久々に自転車配達で尾道へ。

たびたす利用2回目のお客様。

昨年の同じ時期にご利用いただきましたが、雨と寒さで今治からサイクリストの聖地碑までしか走ることができませんでした。

残り半分を走り完全制覇するため、しまなみ海道に戻ってきてくださいました。

それも、またたびたすをご利用いただき、嬉しくありがたい限りです。

今回は因島でポルノグラフィティ聖地巡りも楽しまれ、尾道からサイクリストの聖地碑まで走り、しまなみ海道を無事完走されました！

完走おめでとうございます！

今回立ち寄れなかった場所もあるので、また必ず来ます！と笑顔でお別れでき感謝です。

しまなみ海道・ゆめしま海道は、素敵な場所がまだまだありますので、またぜひ何度でもお越しください！

I went to Onomichi for a bicycle delivery after a long time.

This is the second time this customer has used Tabitasu.

He used the service at the same time last year, but due to the rain and cold, he was only able to ride from Imabari to the Cyclist's Holy Land Monument.

He returned to the Shimanami Kaido to ride the remaining half and complete the journey.

We are very happy and grateful that he used Tabitasu again.

This time, he also enjoyed a tour of the P***o Graffitti holy land in Innoshima, rode from Onomichi to the Cyclist's Holy Land Monument, and completed the Shimanami Kaido safely!

Congratulations on completing the ride!

There were some places he wasn't able to stop by this time, so we're grateful to be able to say goodbye with a smile and say, "I'll definitely come again!"

There are still many wonderful places to visit on the Shimanami Kaido and Yumeshima Kaido, so please come again as many times as you like!

A day with clear blue skies and a little warmth.

Preparations and procedures for spring have somehow made progress today.

After visiting the graves of my relatives, I went to Tenmangu Shrine to pray and found that plum blossoms were in bloom.

Spring is just around the corner!

Tomorrow, I will be ordering a delivery rental bicycle for the first time in a while.

Please make sure you have not left anything behind.

今日はお天気も良く、ブロンプトンで回って地元での用事を済ませてきました。

ほとんど瀬戸田にいるので、地元の事が疎くなり駅周辺もかなり変わってました。

レンタサイクルの配達回収の場合、駅周辺はどこにサポートカーを停めたら良いかチェックし、久々にさんにも。

The weather was nice today, so I went around on my Brompton and took care of some local errands.

I've been in Setoda most of the time, so I'm not familiar with the local area and the area around the station has changed quite a bit.

When delivering and collecting rental bicycles, I checked where to park the support car around the station, and also visited for the first time in a while.

Thank you for the fun time.

One more step of preparation for spring is finished, and we are slowly moving forward towards the starting line.

I was asked to do a guided tour again today.

The weather was bad and cold in Setoda.

昨年11月にイギリス🇬🇧からお越しなり、プライベートガイドツアーにご参加くださったお客様から、写真を送っていただきました。

昼食で利用させていただいた、大三島の雅楽さんの素敵な箸袋を額に入れて飾ってるそうで、送られてきた写真を見て思わず、うわー！素敵！と声を出してしまいました。😄

ガイドは英語ガイドさんが担当し、私はサポートカー担当でしたが、とても優しくて素敵なご家族で、大切な時間を楽しく共有させていただき、幸せな時間が蘇ってきました。

しまなみでの思い出を素敵な形で残していただき、とても嬉しくありがたい限りです。

February 11, 2025 (Tuesday)

I received some photos from a guest who joined our private guided tour last November from the UK. 🇬🇧

They told me that they framed the beautiful chopstick sleeve from Garaku, the restaurant in Ōmishima where we had lunch, and displayed it in their home.

When I saw the photo, I couldn’t help but exclaim, “Wow! That’s amazing!” 😄

The tour was led by our English-speaking guide, while I was in charge of the support car.

The guests were such a kind and wonderful family, and I feel so grateful to have shared a special time with them.
Seeing the photos brought back such happy memories.

I’m truly touched that they chose to cherish their experience in Shimanami in such a beautiful way.
Thank you so much!

I hope to welcome them back to the Shimanami Kaidō again someday.

Starting my day with this made me feel so happy, and thanks to that, even my least favorite office work went smoothly today. 😊

We also received another reservation for our delivery rental bike service from overseas today!

Our website might be a bit tricky to navigate at the moment, but we’re currently working on improvements and plan to finish the update by March.

今日は朝から所用で車で広島市内へ。

各所を周り最後は初の広島県庁へ。

大切な用事を済ませたらお腹がすいたので、県庁食堂で遅めの昼食。

大きな準備も一区切りでき、あとは朗報を待つばかり。

帰りは下道をのんびり走って瀬戸田へ。

ちょうど夕景の時間でしたが、高根島に夕日があたり赤富士のように見えました。(実際はもっと赤くみえたのですが💦)

高根島は生口島の西側から見ると、島の半分が富士山の山容に見えることから、生口島の方々は片富士と呼んでいるそうです。

明日も店舗で事務作業と準備の続きに勤しみます。

This morning, I had some errands to run, so I drove to Hiroshima City.

After visiting several places, I finally went to the Hiroshima Prefectural Office for the first time.

Once I had taken care of my important task, I started feeling hungry, so I had a late lunch at the prefectural office cafeteria.

With a major preparation now complete, all that’s left is to wait for good news.

On the way back, I took the local roads and drove leisurely back to Setoda.

It was just around sunset, and the evening light cast a glow on Takane Island, making it look like a “Red Fuji.” (In reality, it looked even redder!)

From the western side of Ikuchijima, Takane Island appears to have a shape similar to Mount Fuji on one side. Because of this, the people of Ikuchijima call it “Kata-Fuji” (One-Sided Fuji).

Tomorrow, I’ll continue with office work and preparations at the shop.

今日はしまなみ海道の写真を1枚も撮っていないので、2月6日に撮ったものを💦

土曜日ですが、風が強く寒かったので店舗は開けずに、中で事務作業等に勤しんでました。

午後からは忘れ物を取りに、約50km離れた自宅へ。
つい最近も同じ事があったような💦

これで来週の用事を済ませる事ができそうです。

瀬戸田へ戻る途中に大型書店に寄り道。

まだ読んでない本がたくさんあるのに、買ってしまいました💦

春に向けて参考になるような本も読んでないので、準備を進めつつ、ちゃんと読んで今後に活かしていきます。

明日は今日よりも、ほんの少し気温が上がるようです。

I didn't take any photos of the Shimanami Kaido today, so here are some I took on February 6th💦

It was Saturday, but it was windy and cold, so I didn't open the store and worked inside on paperwork.

In the afternoon, I went to my home, about 50km away, to get something I forgot.

It seems like the same thing happened just recently💦

I think I'll be able to take care of my errands for next week.

On the way back to Setoda, I stopped by a large bookstore.

I bought a lot of books that I haven't read yet💦

I haven't read any books that would be useful for spring, so I'll read them properly while I'm preparing, and use them in the future.

It seems that the temperature will be a little higher tomorrow than today.

We are currently preparing to evolve so that we can provide better service to our customers in the spring season, and one of the preparations was successfully completed today.

There are still many things we need to do before we can get to the starting line, but for now, we have completed one major preparation, so we will celebrate with a cake 😅

所用で隣の島へ。

自転車で多々羅大橋を渡るのは1月2日以来。

自転車に乗るのは今年に入って3回目？たぶん💦

風がかなり強くてとても寒く、運動不足の体にはなかなか堪えました😅

所用先では楽しく面白いお話も聞けて、今後が楽しみです。

帰りに写真を撮りながら瀬戸田に帰還。

春からのシーズンに向けて、ほんとちゃんと乗らないとダメだなあと痛感。

でも、やっぱり自転車は楽しいー！

今週は寒さがかなり厳しいですが、来週は寒さも緩む予報です。

I went to the neighboring island for business.

It's been a while since I've crossed the Tatara Bridge by bicycle since January 2.

This is the third time I've ridden a bicycle this year? Probably💦

The wind was quite strong and very cold, but it was quite hard on my body that hasn't been exercised.😅

I heard some fun and interesting stories at the place I was on business, and I'm looking forward to the future.

On the way back, I returned to Setoda while taking photos.

I really need to ride properly in preparation for the spring season.

But cycling is still fun!

It's been quite cold this week, but it's forecast to ease up next week.

寒波で瀬戸田もかなら冷込みました。

来週はいろいろと手続きに回らなくてはならないので、朝から店舗に篭って準備作業をしていたら、結局店舗から1歩も外へ出ていませんでした💦

2025年2月4日(火)

今日は所用で広島市内へ。

雪も降ってきましたが、無事に到着し用事も終了。

帰路は呉経由で海岸線ルートを。

途中に野呂山の看板が目に入り、まだ行ったことがなかったので登ってみました(もちろん車で💦)

標高が839mあるので、山頂付近は雪が積もってるだろうなぁと覚悟して行きましたが、予想通り積もってました。

展望台からはとびしま海道の島々も望め、最高の景色でした！

また雪がない時期に来なくては。

Today I went to Hiroshima City for business.

It started snowing, but I arrived safely and finished my business.

On the way back, I took the coastal route via Kure.

On the way, I saw a sign for Mt. Noro, and since I had never been there before, I decided to climb it (by car, of course 💦).

The altitude is 839m, so I was prepared for there to be snow near the summit, and as expected, there was.

From the observation deck, you can see the islands of the Tobishima Kaido, and it was a great view!

I'll have to come back when there's no snow.

立春の瀬戸田。

少し暖かったですが、明日から寒波が来る影響か、午後から風が強くなってきました。

春のシーズンに向けて、いろいろと準備をしていますが、明日使う大事なものを瀬戸田から50km離れた自宅へ取りに帰り、すぐに瀬戸田へ戻ってきて再び準備作業をしていたので、今日の写真は1枚もありません💦

The beginning of spring in Setoda.

It was a little warm, but the wind got stronger in the afternoon, probably due to the cold wave coming tomorrow.

I'm preparing a lot for the spring season, but I went back to my house, 50km away from Setoda, to get some important things I'll use tomorrow, and then I came back to Setoda and started preparing again, so I don't have any photos from today💦

The Shimanami Kabunushi Meeting will be held in Innoshima on Sunday, March 16th.

雨の予報が外れ、雲が多いながらも穏やかな一日だった瀬戸田。

しまなみ市、昴島、2つのイベントも無事開催されました。

どちらにも伺い楽しい時間を過ごせました。

昴島の会場となったシトラスパーク瀬戸田。

島外の方にはあまり知られてないかもしれませんが、桜のとても綺麗なスポットです。

3月下旬頃には800本の桜が園内に咲き誇ります。

The rain forecast was wrong, and Setoda was a calm day despite the clouds.

The two events, Shimanami City and Subarushima, were held without any problems.

I visited both and had a great time.

2025年2月4日(火) 今日は所用で広島市内へ。雪も降ってきましたが、無事に到着し用事も終了。帰路は呉経由で海岸線ルートを。途中に野呂山の看板が目に入り、まだ行ったことがなかったので登ってみました(もちろん車で💦) 標高が839mあるので、山頂付近は雪が積もってるだろうなぁと覚悟して行きましたが、予想通り積もってました。展望台からはとびしま海道の島々も望め、最高の景色でした！また雪がない時期に来なくては。 #しまなみ海道 #ガイドツアー #レンタサイクル #サイクリング #呉 #野呂山 #とびしま海道 Tuesday, February 4, 2025 Today I went to Hiroshima City for business. It started snowing, but I arrived safely and finished my business. On the way back, I took the coastal route via Kure. On the way, I saw a sign for Mt. Noro, and since I had never been there before, I decided to climb it (by car, of course 💦). The altitude is 839m, so I was prepared for there to be snow near the summit, and as expected, there was. From the observation deck, you can see the islands of the Tobishima Kaido, and it was a great view! I'll have to come back when there's no snow.
