The Okumura Family Residence and
Indigo Dyeing Experience 🩵

The rural area in the Yoshinogawa River basin, known as the northern part of Awa, was known as the largest Japanese indigo production area. The Indigo Town History Museum "Ai no Yakata" was established as a new museum using 13 buildings from the former residence of the Okumura family, who were prominent indigo merchants. Designated as a tangible cultural property of Tokushima Prefecture, the museum conveys the culture of indigo production, from the history and distribution of indigo as a Japanese heritage to the process of cultivating indigo and indigo dyeing.

You can experience indigo dyeing using dye made from fermented lye. The experience is available for individuals. Why not create your own indigo dyed piece?✨

In Awa, the Hachisuka family, who ruled Awa and Awaji in the early modern period, promoted and supported puppet theater. This led to the active promotion of puppet theaters from Awaji, an advanced region, in various places including Tokushima Castle town. Awa Ningyo Joruri is a form of puppet theater performed by three puppeteers, involving gidayu-bushi narrative music, taiko drumming, and shamisen playing. It is a traditional performing art that Tokushima takes pride in and has been passed down through generations. Even today, Tokushima is home to the most puppet theaters and puppet craftsmen in the country.

【2024關西賞櫻🌸】📍堺市大仙公園　

仁徳天皇陵古墳(大仙古墳)位於大仙公園旁，是堺市有名的賞櫻景點。這個公園以其具有歷史性、文化性和資源的出色景觀和環境而被選為“日本歷史公園100選”，“銅羅池”周圍種植了約400株染井吉野櫻和大島櫻等品種，被稱為“櫻花園”！

搭乘JR阪和線到“百舌鳥站”再步行約5分鐘，或者乘坐南海巴士到“大仙公園西”、“堺市博物館前”或“百舌鳥站”下車。

Daisen Park, 🌳which is located next to Emperor Nintoku's Mausoleum (Daisen Kofun), is a famous destination for cherry blossom viewing in Sakai City. The park has been recognized as one of the "100 Historical Parks in Japan" for its magnificent landscape and preservation of historical, cultural, and natural resources. The "Sakura Garden" area around the "Doraike" pond is home to around 400 cherry blossom trees, including Somei Yoshino and Oshima zaku, making it an ideal spot for enjoying the beauty of cherry blossoms!

To reach the park, you can either take the JR Hanwa Line to "Moza Station" and walk for approximately 5 minutes, or take the Nankai bus to "Daisen Koen Nishi," "Sakai City Museum," or "Mozu Station."

從JR德島站步行只需10分鐘！
德島中央公園位於助任川沿線的蜂須賀櫻花大道和園內種植眾多的染井吉野等，成為櫻花名所的人氣地點。這個在舊德島藩主蜂須賀公的城址上開辦的公園的花看廣場為中心，約250棵櫻花現在正在盛開。在此期間，也進行了夜櫻觀賞的燈光裝飾。如果您旅行到德島，一定要來訪並欣賞一下。

舊德島城門前御殿庭園（開放時間：早上9點至下午5點（最晚入園至下午4點半））

It's just a 10-minute walk from JR Tokushima Station!
Tokushima Central Park, located along the Hachisuka cherry blossom trees by the Yasen River and the numerous Somei-Yoshino cherry trees planted in the park, is a popular spot for its beautiful display of cherry blossoms. Approximately 250 cherry trees centered around the flower viewing plaza of the park, which was established at the ruins of the former residence of Lord Hachisuka of the Tokushima Clan, are in full bloom. During this time, the park also conducts night illuminations for viewing the cherry blossoms at night. Please be sure to visit if you are travelling to Tokushima.

位於德島縣東部的勝浦鎮。在縣內數一數二的櫻花名所上舉辦『阿波勝浦櫻花祭』。
生名谷川沿線，約2公里的櫻花大道「生名浪漫街道」上燦爛的櫻花盛開。期間內，從晚上六點開始，夜櫻燈光秀也會舉行。此外，河流泛舟、撈金魚體驗、小火車觀光等，從小孩到大人都能享受的景點也是其魅力之一。
附近的人偶文化交流館在2月24日（週六）至4月7日（週日）期間也舉辦「勝浦大雛祭」。春天的德島勝浦有許多值得觀賞的地方！邀請您一起要來賞櫻感受一下春天魅力！

Katsuura Town is located in the eastern region of Tokushima Prefecture. The town hosts the notable "Awa Katsuura Sakura Festival" at one of the most famous cherry blossom sites within the prefecture. Please enjoy the impressive cherry blossoms that bloom gloriously along an approximately 2 km row of trees lining the Ikeda River, known as the "Ikeda Romance Road". During the period of the festival, there is a cherry blossom night illumination event starting from 6 PM. In addition to this, there are numerous attractions, including boat descents, Japanese trout fishing experiences, and Decauville train rides that can be enjoyed by everyone from children to adults.

Nearby, the Doll Culture Exchange Center is hosting the "Katsuura Big Hinamatsuri" from February 24 (Saturday) to April 7 (Sunday). There is much to see and do in Katsuura in the spring!
