I have issued an international driver's license for overseas business trips.I filled out an application form at the nearest driver's license office and received it within 30 minutes.

I was expecting to have to study and test for foreign traffic rules, but there was none of that and it was super easy.Reimbursement of expenses after a business trip is much more troublesome.

About Japanese anthropomorphism culture.
We found a crazy anthropomorphism at rest area in Yamanashi Highway. It is anthropomorphism of Mt. Fuji. They are "Mt. Fuji in despair" , "Ripped Mt. Fuji" and "Kowtowing Mt. Fuji (Japanese Dogeza)".

In Japan, animals have been anthropomorphized in UKIYOE picture since the era of samurai, and even today, even non-living things such as battleships, Japanese swords, and castles are anthropomorphized.
(One of the most popular smartphone games in Japan is a game in which players raise anthropomorphic racehorses to race.)

In Japan, each region has its own "YURU-cahra" character. Look for them when you come to Japan.

This is Toji Soba Noodle which is traditional cuisine in Nagano.
Nagano's high altitude, temperature differences, and lack of flatland made it unsuitable for rice cultivation, so buckwheat was cultivated as the main grain. Toji soba is one of the traditional ways to eat buckwheat.

This is Hoto Noodle which is the most popular traditional cuisine in Yamanashi. Hoto is stew made with flat Udon noodles and plenty of vegetables simmered in miso soup. Because Yamanashi is a mountainous area, it is not suitable for rice cultivation, and Hoto was eaten as a staple food instead of rice in the past.

In Japan, people go hiking with their dogs.
When I hiked Mt. Meshimori in Yamanashi Prefecture to check out our tour course, I met Chimaki-Chan, a Shiba dog.
She and her owner were very friendly.

How to drive in Japan？　How to get Inter national Driving Permit?

Here are some tips on obtaining an International Driving Permit(IDP).

【In case of US】
If you prepare the following three items, you can get an IDP on the same day for $20.
・American driver's license (with more than 6 months of expiration date remaining)
・AAA (American Automobile Association) membership card
・ 2 passport size photos

Step1：Check on AAA web site and visit your nearest AAA office.

Step2：Fill out the application form. You can also take photos here for $8.
Step3：IDPs will be issued within 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on how crowded it is.
