The dolls are displayed for the Girls’ Festival in Inase. These dolls were made early in the Showa era.

The Girls’ Festival is a Japanese culture that wishes girls to grow healthily.

There are two types of displaying dolls: Kyoto-style and Kanto-style. The difference between the two styles is the positions of the obina and the mebina.
We used Kyoto-style.
It feels like we are enjoying spring.

Happy New Year🌅
One of the Inase staff went to Mii Temple on New Year's Day!
The evening bell at Mii, one of the Eight Views of Omi, is one of the three most famous bells in Japan, and the sound is beautiful!
Mii Temple was crowded with many people!
The sound was so beautiful that you wanted to linger on the sound after ringing the bell.

On the way back to Inase, the sound of the bells echoed around us!
We prayed that this year would be a good one for everyone!
Thank you for your continued support this year.😌

元旦は粋世のスタッフが三井寺へ行ってきました！
近江八景の一つである三井の晩鐘は、日本三大鐘の一つで音色が美しいです！
三井寺はたくさんの人で賑わっていました！
鐘を撞いた後もずっと音色に浸っていたくなるほど美しい音色でした。
粋世へ帰る途中も鐘の音が響き渡り、粋世まで聞こえていました！

The lemons were made by the owner of Inase, and the Inase staff made the lemonade, using the lemons.🍋

Very beautiful colors!
One of the Inase staff members went to Okubiwa Sports no Mori and the metasequoia road.
You can do biwaichi on the road.🚲

Okubiwa Sports no Mori is a park.
It was not crowded when I took pictures there.📷

Metasequoia road was crowded, though.
There were a lot of people!
The colors of the Metasequoia leaves were getting deep yellow.
You should enjoy the scenery because you can see it only now.😊

奥びわスポーツの森は公園です。写真を撮った日は人も少なくゆっくり散策することができました📷

メタセコイヤ並木は、混んでいました！
メタセコイヤの葉っぱの紅葉が進み、とても濃いオレンジ色になっていて、綺麗でした！

The Otsu Nakamachi shopping district holds an Otsu 100 yen shopping campaign four times a year .

The shopping district held the campaign on the 7th of December, and one of the Inase staff members went there.

It takes 4 minutes to go to the shopping district from Inase on foot.
It was very prosperous, and there were many interesting shops.

The staff bought a cup of coffee, Yomogi Daifuku, Krintou Manju and Kakuni Takanamann. They were nice. The staff got full after having them all.🤭

The campaign will be held on the 1st of March next.
You should come visit Otsu and enjoy shopping.🛍️

大津ナカマチ商店街では、大津100円商店街が年回4回開催されます。

12月7日に開催され、粋世スタッフの1人が、散策してきました！
商店街は、粋世から徒歩5分ほどの場所にあります。
とても賑わい、魅力あるお店がならび、目移りしながら、コーヒー、よもぎ大福、かりんとう饅頭に、角煮高菜まんを食べました！食べ過ぎですね🤭
次回の開催は、2025年3月1日（土）です！

Konansanzan卍
One of the Inase staff members went to Zensui-ji temple.
One of Konansanzan is Iwaneyama zensui-ji temple, which is a national treasure.
Now is the best time to see deeply red autumn leaves at the temple.🍁
It is located in southern part of Lake Biwa.
The main temple is undergoing repair now.
Near the Japanese bell-tower, you can see beautiful autumn leaves.🍁
You should enjoy the atmosphere of the 1300 year-old historic temple.☺️

琵琶湖の南に位置する場所にあります。

現在、本堂は、檜皮（ひわだ）屋根の葺き替え保存修理が行われています。

Deep Red Autumn Leaves in Otsu🍁

It is the best time to see deep red autumn leaves around Inase.
In Nagara shrine（長等神社）, you can see beautifully red autumn leaves. The shrine is about a 9-minute walk from Inase.⛩️
The Mii temple also has lovely autumn leaves.🍁
It is nice to see the leaves change their colors.
It will be cold next week, so before it gets cold, you should go see autumn leaves and enjoy them.😊

粋世から徒歩9分ほどの長等神社では、美しい紅葉が見られます⛩️
三井寺も紅葉が綺麗です🍁

We welcomed a new Santa Clausobject‼️
We got objects of “Big Santa Claus and Small Santa Claus” designed by a picture book writer, Tomonori Taniguchi in Mii temple.
Christmas will be next month. 🎄
You should see the autumn leaves and Santa Claus objects in Mii Temple.

After coming back to Inase, we hope you will enjoy reading a picture book while warming yourself in a kotatsu.📕

It is getting very cold these days. Please don’t catch a cold and stay warm when you go out.🧣

来月はクリスマスですね🎄三井寺の紅葉とサンタクロースをご覧になったあとは、粋世のこたつで温まりながら絵本にも触れていただければと思います📕

From the 1st of November to the 8th of December, the “NAKED Night Walk™ Hiei-san Sakamoto” is being held🏮
You can see beautiful lights at Hiyoshi Shrine for free.
However, if you want to go to Kyuchikuriin, you have to make a reservation in advance and pay the admission fee, so please be careful!
It takes about 26 minutes to get to Sakamoto Hieizan Guchi by Keihan train from Miidera station. (Miiderastation is very close to Inase.）🚃
These are beautiful spots!✨
These are limited time events, so if you have a chance, you should visit the temples.😊

In front of the entrance of Mii Temple, there was a Santa Claus statue.
At first, I thought it was a panel, but it was big and three-dimensional, so I was surprised! 🎅🍁
The color of maple leaves are turning red little by little. I enjoy seeing them.😊

Kotousanzan is a famous spot for viewing autumn leaves in Japan.🍁
It is located in the eastern part of central Shiga.
Each temple has a great autumn leaves viewing spot.
The temples’ names are Saimyouji temple（西明寺),Kongourinji temple (金剛輪寺), Hyakusaiji temple (百済寺).🛤️
Each temple has its unique atmosphere. I hope you will find your favorite one.

The weather was very nice!
Saimyouji Temple was the most attractive to me. The colors of moss and red leaves were very beautiful.😊
