The Omiya Bonsai Art Museum is closed until March, but in the meantime, we will offer free guided tours of the Omiya Bonsai Village in English.

The Omiya Bonsai Village was founded in 1925 and has since become a must-see spot for bonsai artists worldwide.

Experience a free guided tour around the Omiya Bonsai Village. Explore the rich history of the area's gardens and learn about some of the most beautiful bonsai each garden has to offer.

November Village Tour Dates:
December 2, 6, 9, 13, 20, 23, 27

Guide Times: From 10 am and 2 pm
Fee: Free
How to Join: Meet at the Omiya Bonsai Art Museum Front Gate (5 mins walk from JR Toro Station) at 10am or 2pm on tour days

More information regarding the closure will be provided as soon as possible.

Period of Closure: November 2024 to around March 2025

Reason for Closure: The bonsai displays and guest areas will be improved in order to combat the increased frequency of extreme heat in recent years.

Years in the making, and now finally available, our Bonsai Care App!

The app allows you to add your trees, set reminders (based on the tree species, there's an elaborate database behind all this to really offer good advice), easily add photos (so you can keep track of your trees' progression), etc.

We charge a small fee if you add more than 3 trees, which we know sucks, but there's no other way if we are to build a really great app. If you're not willing to pay, the app does offer 100% of the functionalities for free but just for a limited number of trees.
