Here is information about the reservation-required direct bus service “Yamagata Station – Ginzan Onsen Line” from January 17 to March 23, 2025. The bus departs from Yamagata Station East Exit, Bus Stop No. 2, and arrives at Taisho Romankan (Ginzan Onsen). There are a total of 6 trips per day (3 round trips). The one-way fare is 3,500 yen for adults and 1,800 yen for children. Reservations can only be made online. You can either walk from the Taisho Roman Museum to Ginzan Onsen or take the shuttle bus. As the first initiative of 2025, we launched our original survey for international tourists on January 7, 2025. The purpose of the survey is to gather valuable feedback from non-Japanese visitors about tourism in Sendai and to identify areas where we can improve in order to make our city more attractive and satisfying. This survey project is in collaboration with the Fujisaki Department Store, which has prepared small gifts for the survey respondents. (Arigatogozaimasu, Fujisaki-san!) So far, approximately 80 people have participated, and we sincerely appreciate their support 🥹 If you visit us, we would appreciate it if you could take a moment to complete the survey, should you have the time!

2025年最初の取り組みとして、2025年1月7日よりi-SENDAIオリジナルの「外国人観光客の方々対象 アンケート調査」を実施中です。海外の観光客の方々から仙台観光に関する貴重なご意見を集めることで、仙台がもっと魅力的で満足してもらえるような街になるように改善点を見つけることを目的としています。このプロジェクトは、藤崎百貨店さんとのコラボ企画で、アンケートの景品をご提供いただいております（藤崎さん、ありがとうございます！）　今のところ約80名のお客様にご回答いただき、本当にありがたいです🥹　一体どんなご要望が多いのか、私たちはどんなことに取り組むべきなのか、集計結果が待ち遠しいです！

・ネットなどで調べて自分なりに勉強したこともありましたが、正しい表現なのかが分からなかったので、ネイティブの先生から学ぶことが出来て良かったです。

・先生のご指導が、日頃、より使う言い方に寄り添ったものだったり、顔を上げて話す事の大切さを繰り返し仰ったりと、とても親しみやすく楽しくレッスン出来ました。グループの人数もちょうどよく、社外の方のお話しも興味深かったです。

・先生のお話もとても楽しく、参加してみてとても良い時間だったと思います。改めて自分の英語への苦手意識、能力の低さを痛感もしました。すこしずつ躊躇わずに活用して、楽しいスムーズな接客ができるようになっていきたいです。ありがとうございました。

・私は英語が苦手で、外国人の方を前にすると身構えてしまうくらいで、今回も緊張しながら受講しました。ですが、マリジョゼ先生をはじめ、関係者の方々も大変素敵なお人柄でしたので、和やかな雰囲気に緊張もほぐれ、リラックスして講習を受けることができました。実際に使えるフレーズばかりでしたので、大変役立つ講座でした。今後は、接客時にぜひ活用したいと思います。

・初めての試み、大変お疲れ様でした。内容はさておき、まずはこういった機会が今までなかったので助かった参加者が多数だと思います。貴重な一歩を踏み出していただき、ありがとうございました。一言に「接客英語上達」といっても、2時間で学べることはほんのわずかで、今後も継続してやり続けることが一番だと思います。

Located in the Honcho Shopping Street, about a 15-minute walk from JR Sendai Station, Takisawa Shrine is known as the god of fire protection and passing exams. During Donto Festival held on January 14 at Takisawa Shrine, a large fire is lit at 5:00 pm. Tamakonnyaku (seasoned konnyaku) and amazake (non-alcoholic sweet sake) will be served for free by locals. Come to the festival to burn New Year's decorations and pray for the new year's health and business success with a fire called “Goshinbi”.

Togatta Onsen town will have a magical atmosphere on January 13th and 15th. The area around Togatta Onsen town, where steam rises from the hot spring, and Yugami Shrine will be illuminated, creating a beautiful view of the snowy landscape of the hot spring town. A national treasure, Osaki Hachimangu Shrine, will hold the “Matsutaki-matsuri Festival (also known as Donto-sai)” on January 14th. During the festival, old talismans, charms, and New Year’s decorations are brought to the shrine to be ceremonially burned in a sacred fire, with prayers for good health, business prosperity, and family safety in the new year. A highlight of the festival is the “Hadaka Mairi (Naked pilgrimage)”, where participants, dressed minimally in white garments, walk from various locations in the city towards the sacred fire in the extremely cold weather. Don’t miss this time-honored festival.
