A Look Back at Omita through Photographs
Mr. Ogata Naoki is locally knowned as the photograph expert of the rice planting festival of Omita.
This year, as the festival will be held like it used to be before 2019, you can get a glimpse of the event thanks to pictures of the same event accross generations.

The Daio Art Gallery located in the town of Nakiri, Shima, exhibits this June paintings and photos of the local and ancestral masonry techniques. The entry is free of charge and ideal during these rainy days so come by if you can !

Butterfly 🦋

アサギマダラを発見しました！！

先日朝熊山にてアサギマダラに出会うことができました。

渡り蝶で、日本列島を縦断し、沖縄や台湾や香港まで2500キロ以上飛んで行くそうです。

ヨツバヒヨドリやフジバカマなどの花がお気に入りのようですが、この日はアザミの花でお食事中でした。

この先まだまだ長い旅が続きますが、お気をつけて…と心の中で呟きながらお見送りをしました。

The beach season may have ended, it's no reaseon to stay away from the beach while its that hot !

An ingenious idea is the beach cleaning competition. Come with 2 friends and gather as much garbage on the beach as you can within an hour on a given area. The winners are decided by how much or how large piece has been picked up.

The sea will thank you !
