🍁🍂 Japan’s autumn foliage forecast is here! 🍂🍁

On October 30, 2024, JMC released its third forecast for this year’s autumn leaves. Due to warmer temperatures, the peak dates for red maple and yellow ginkgo leaves are later than usual.

📍 In Tokyo:
・Red maple leaves are expected to peak around December 5 (a week later than last year).
・Yellow ginkgo leaves are forecast to peak on November 29 (delayed by 6 days).

📍 In Kyoto:

・Red maple leaves will peak around December 16 (10 days later than last year).
・Yellow ginkgo leaves will peak on December 2 (about 9 days later than last year).

We had an opportunity to visit KAIT Plaza at the Kanagawa Institute of Technology, designed by Junya Ishigami, and were amazed by its unique architecture.

The building resembles rolling hills, with a ceiling that seems to float without any pillars blocking the view. The open windows allow natural elements to enter, making the space enjoyable on both sunny and rainy days.
