I am so pleased to meet my repeat customer from the U. S. again! This was 7th time to join my tour and our first meeting was 2016.
He is a wheelchair & cane user and in his 90s this year.
Our tour pace is moderate, relaxing and flexible. We decided where we are going or doing on that day because his physical condition. Since he have been to Tokyo many times before, we visited local area such as Kawasaki, Yokohama, Isawa and Mt. Fuji area this time and enjoy new, seasonal experiences.

Welcome back to Japan in 7 years! I had tours for my repeat customer from the U. S.
Our first meeting was in 2017, kids were in elementary school at that time. Time flies so fast, they've grown up and now they are taller than me. It was absolutely fantastic meeting with them again!

For my food lover client, I arranged Private Soba making experience at Soba Izakaya in Tokyo. We enjoyed it very much with delicious Izakaya meals, soba and all you can drink Sake!

Welcome back to Japan! I was pleased to meet my repeat customer from the U.S. again! Our last meeting was in spring 2023.

My guest's request was visiting Loyal dog Hachi related places and including off the beaten spots in 2 days, so we planned "Hachiko Tour" and "Buddhist related place/off the beaten spot tour".

Live Virtual Tour in Tokyo on October, my guest joined from Ukraine.
This style tour was very new and nobody's done before in 2020. It was challenging for me, try and errors many times. I believed it's meaningful and worth to try, so didn't give up.

There were 5 reasons when I decided to start live virtual tour during COVID.

1.We don't know when COVID ends, but this is one of the ways to connect with people between Japan and abroad.
2.I'd like to keep my knowledge and skills as a guide as much as I can.
3.I had a medical background as a nurse. I thought it's a great idea to give mobility challenged customer a tour.
4.In the future, it might become one of the options to tour for people who are not easy to visit Japan because of political and economical reasons.
5. If this tour style could success in Tokyo, I might be able to give people in abroad a tour in many different local area.

It was 2 days private customized tour for a family from the U.S., three generations from a grandmother in her 80s to grandkids. It was the first time to visit Japan for most of them and we followed in grandma's foot steps who used to live in Kamakura in her childhood.

Sharing her memory and her favorite places for her own family was so nice and emotional experience.
It was a memorable time we spent together.

My private customized tour this time was mainly shopping + sightseeing in Tokyo with my guest from Hong Kong.
It was a first time visiting to Japan for my guest and toured for about a week.

Maybe not many visitors know, Tokyo is the best place to buy second hand, vintage shopping area. A wide range goods from brand bag to clothing in a pretty good condition. There are some area known for vintage shopping.

We visited more than 20 shops to purchase so many clothing and items and enjoyed it for a week.

Welcome to Half day Akihabara Tour from the U.S.! My guest was a family of 3 who love Japanese anime and games.
Japanese manga is different compare with it in other countries. It has many genre that contains more deep story, philosophy, passion, knowledge, humor, details, expression of character's sensitive emotion. Of course, not all manga is good quality, but popular manga has a reason.

When I was a child, I read Osamu Tezuka's manga "Black Jack" which based on medical, human society's theme and spotted people's inner darkness. I learned some from this manga.
Suzue Miuchi's manga "Glass Mask" is also great. A girl met an actress and founded her hidden great talent of being actress and had opened the way to the future.

My recent favorite manga are Blue Rock, Kingdom, The Apothecary Diaries, Haikyu and so on, mostly sport's and historical theme one.

It was fun to talk with my guest and visited many shops based on their preference on that day. Thank you so much for joining.

Let me look back the memory of my tour in March 2024. My tour style is a customized tour based on requests. This tour was "INITIAL D Tour in Gunma prefecture" for my repeat client from the U.S. Our first meeting was in 2023 spring, we had been discussing for this day trip and prepared well. I was so glad to meet them again!

"Initial D" is a popular car racing comic written by Shuichi Shigeno. Main character is a teenager but also a Downhill driving specialist, Takumi Fujiwara.
As you know, Manga/comic is so big in Japan which has so many genres and stories like novels with great skillful pictures.

Shibukawa city and Mt. Haruna in Gunma prefecture are main location of this anime. Many related spots. We were so excited to drive down on Mt. Haruna, especially when we curved at hairpin curves which is the most famous scene. Some bumps are set on the road intentionally, we bounced bounced, bounced,,, it was fun!
We completed to find all manhole covers with main characters of Initial D, visiting museum and more.

It was a memorable time for both of us.

How happy I am! My repeat client from Singapore visited again in Tokyo. Our first meeting was in 2016 and this is their 5th time's tour with me. We visited outside Tokyo area such as in Saitama and Kanagawa prefecture. It's absolutely memorable meeting with them again as always.

3 days Tour with my guest, lovely couple from Chili. I had tours for their relatives about a year ago, then referred me as a guide in Tokyo for this time.
We visited art galleries, contemporary art museum and a beautiful architecture. Luckily, we met an artist, Mr. Kota Kinutani and talked with him about his beautiful stone arts at √K art gallery in Kagurazaka. Visiting this gallery was one of my guest's highlights during the tour.
I would like to become a small bridge to connect between local people and my guests. Meeting new people is fun and leaving a strong impression. It's enjoyable authentic experience.

Half-day SAKE Tour with my guest from the Middle East. We visited Sawanoi Sake brewery in western Tokyo, takes about 1.5 hours by car. It's located in mountain area where they get pure spring water for sake making. We saw the spot that water spring out, I felt so spiritual. The Sake brewery doesn't have air conditioners, but feel so nice and cool, dark and quiet.
After sake tour by a brewer finished, we enjoyed tasting some popular sake of Ozawa brewery. Outside terrace seats are set near stream, we truly enjoyed beautiful nature, their SAKE and chatting with a brewer.

〈Discover Japan- Visit Hamamatsu in Shizuoka〉
Hamanatsu is known as one of the three most famous Gyoza cities in Japan. According to the survey in 2023, annual expenditure on Gyoza in Hamanatsu was top among three cities.
It is simple taste and not heavy. Light texture because includes a lot of chopped cabbage. Good taste!

〈Discover Japan - Visit Kawagoe in Saitama〉
I often visit Kawagoe and Kawagoe festival with my guests. It’s a historical city where many warehouse style shops remain along the main street and some big temples and shrines.

Here is the place we can learn about Soy Sauce, it is an essential seasoning for Japanese cuisine. Filled with smell of soy inside and it’s great to see. Definitely I recommend you to go there with a guide for better understanding and fun.

New Attraction, "Immersive Fort Tokyo" in Odaiba. It's a live entertainment spot. It seems like you become a part of story or a character of the drama. You enjoy watching a show and dancing along with music of "Oshinoko", popular Japanese animation and others. Many actors and actress are there.
Because I am a fan of Sherlock Homes, I enjoyed The Sherlock very much. It's all in Japanese and walked a lot. Jack the Ripper and Immersive Chase were also fun and scary, but it's easy to understand for anybody. Enjoy!

Famous local food in Lake Hamanako is Unagi, eel! Lake Hamanako is adjacent to ocean and mixed with seawater and fresh water.

There are mainly two ways of cooking Unagi, "Kabayaki" and "Shirayaki". I think most of foreign travelers know "Kabayaki" style which is grilled on fire after dipping sweet soy sauce.

I tired to eat "Shirayaki" in Shizuoka! This is my first time to eat it.
It is grilled on fire after steamed, and no dipping sweet soy sauce. White colored eel was served and taste was so good! Soft, fluffy texture with a bit of fat, very good balance. I put a bit of Yuzu pepper on eel and dipped a bit soy sauce which mixed with ginger and wasabi.

Actually, the way of cooking of Unagi is different depend on the area, Eastside(Kanto) and Westside(Kansai) of Japan.

When you have a chance, I recommend you to try both "Kabayaki" and "Shirayaki" at specialized Unagi restaurant.
