皆さんは京都府南部の井手町に行かれたことはありますか？

自然豊かで古い歴史の息吹を感じる、素敵なまち。

今回訪れたのは、そんな井手町に昨年オープンし、今月１周年を迎えた地域振興交流拠点施設「テオテラスいで」（京都府綴喜郡井手町大字井手小字東高月８）です！

こちらの施設には直売所があって、お茶の京都エリアの色んな農産物・加工品等に出会えます。

到着すると、早くもワクワク！新鮮なお野菜、お茶、美味しそうなスイーツなどなど色々あって、思わず目が釘付けに！

カフェスペースではご当地グルメも味わえます。

地元食材をふんだんに使用した「井手じゃんめん」は、ピリ辛風味の味噌ラーメン。これがまた、やみつきになる美味しさなんですよ〜！

井手町といえば山吹の花もきれいなのですが、「井手黄金プリン」は山吹を思わせる美しい色。京都府産のたまごや府内製造の牛乳が使用されていて、濃厚な味わいが楽しめます！

そんな素敵な「テオテラスいで」。今月には１周年記念イベントも開催されて、多くの人で賑わいました。

ちなみに井手町では「京都で一番早く桜が咲くまち」を目指して早咲きの桜を植樹されていて、「テオテラスいで」のそばにある「井手町まちづくりセンター 椿坂」周辺では、２～３月頃に河津桜を楽しむことができます。（２枚目）

そこから少し行くと「玉峰山 地蔵禅院」があって、春には樹齢約３００年の桜の古木（※）が花を咲かせますよ！（３枚目）
※実は、京都「円山公園」の初代しだれ桜のきょうだいです！

反対方面へ向かうと、桜や山吹が美しい玉川（※）も！（４枚目）
※「平成の名水百選」に選ばれている綺麗な川！桜の見頃の後に山吹が見頃を迎えます。初夏にはホタル（５枚目）も見られます。

秋には紅葉も楽しめて、四季折々の魅力がある素敵なまち。ぜひ皆さんもおでかけしてみては如何でしょうか？

Ide Town (Kyoto) is a wonderful place full of nature and ancient history!

I recently visited Teoterasu Ide, which celebrated its 1st anniversary this month. (They held an event, which was bustling with people!)

Teoterasu Ide has a farmers' market with veggies, fruits, processed products and more from the Kyoto Tea Country area.

I was pumped! I couldn't take my eyes off all the fresh veggies, teas and sweets!

In the cafe, you can enjoy local food.

Ide Janmen is a spicy ramen made with plenty of local ingredients. It's so good, it's addictive!

Ide Ohgon Purin (Ide Golden Pudding) has a beautiful color reminiscent of yamabuki (Japanese kerria) flowers that is one of what this town is known for. Made with Kyoto eggs and milk, it has a rich flavor!

Teoterasu Ide is such a fun place to visit.

And near here, there are early-blooming cherry trees, and Jizozen-in Temple with an approximately 300-year-old cherry tree. (the 2nd & 3rd pics: taken in spring)

At the Tamagawa river, you can see cherry blossoms and the yamabuki flowers around spring, and fireflies in early summer! (the 4th & 5th pics)

You can also enjoy autumn foliage, so Ide Town is full of attractions throughout the year!

今回は京都府・精華町にある「オリエンタルベーカリー京都工場直売所」に行ってきました！

場所は「けいはんな記念公園」のすぐ近く。ワクワクしながら到着です！

お店に入ると、ふわ〜っと良い香りに包まれました。

美味しそうでうっとりしていると、工場の様子などが分かる映像が目に入ってきて思わず目が釘付けに！（たくさんの人たちに幸せを届けておられるんだな～。）

そして目の前には、出来上がったパンたちが。

チーズのパンやウインナーパン、あんぱん、ジャムパン、クリームパン！サンドイッチも美味しそうだし…バウムクーヘンの切れ端もありました。（皆さんはどんなパンが好きですか？）

あれこれ楽しく迷っていると、「こちら焼き立てですよ〜」と嬉しい声が聞こえてきました。

「それは是非！」ということで、今回は焼き立てのクロワッサンと焼きカレーパンをいただくことに。

サクッと美味しいクロワッサンに、アツアツ＆スパイシーなカレーパン！楽しく美味しく食べてるうちに、あっという間にぺろりと完食。お口もお腹も幸せいっぱい！

ちなみに１枚目の写真は、すぐ近くのメタセコイア並木（精華大通り）を背景に撮影しています。

これから秋が深まるにつれて、黄色、オレンジ…と表情を変えていく素敵な並木道。どことなく海外にいるような気分にさせてくれるので、お散歩したり、ドライブしたりするのも楽しいです。（最後の写真は昨年１１月に撮影したものです。）

自然豊かな「けいはんな記念公園」を散策するのもオススメですよ！

I went to the factory shop of Oriental Bakery in Seika Town, Kyoto!
It's located near Keihanna Commemorative Park.

I was so pumped to check it out!
The moment I walked in, an amazing bread smell hit me! I was completely drawn in by the tempting smell.

And the video of their factory totally caught my attention. They must be bringing happiness to many people!

Then I found myself surrounded by all sorts of breads and pastries: cheese bread, sausage bread, sweet red bean bun, jam bun, custard bun, baumkuchen scraps, and many more! Sandwiches looked so good, too. (What's your favorite?)

I was having fun choosing some bread when I heard, "These are fresh out of the oven!"

Of course, I had to try them! I got the fresh croissants and curry bread.

I had a blast munching on the flaky croissants and hot & spicy curry bread! They were so good, I finished them in no time. My mouth and stomach were super happy!

BTW, the 1st pic was taken on Seika-Odori, the nearby metasequoia tree-lined boulevard.

As the seasons change, the leaves will turn into yellow, orange, and reddish orange from now on. It's such a picturesque spot that always makes me feel like I'm somewhere overseas. I love walking or driving here. (The last pic was taken last November.)

I recommend strolling in the nature of Keihanna Commemorative Park, too. It’s a nice place to unwind!

いま、三山木・同志社山手エリア（京都府京田辺市）でスイーツがアツイ！

ということで今回は、こちらのエリアでスイーツ巡りを楽しんでみました〜！

２枚目は今年５月に城陽市から移転オープンされた「impression gateau sucre（アンプレシオンガトー シュクル）本店」（京田辺市同志社山手１-２０-１０）の「城陽産いちじくのタルト」（季節限定）です。

上品な甘さに、優雅な味わい！フレッシュないちじくの美味しさが堪能できて、思わずうっとり…。

３枚目は昨年、木津川市から移転オープンされた洋菓子店「CHEF NAKAGIRI（シェフナカギリ）」（京田辺市三山木西荒木３-６）の「木苺のファザレ」です。

リッチな味わい×木苺の甘酸っぱさがとっても美味しくて、ひと口で虜になっちゃいました！

４枚目は今年６月に市内で移転オープンされた「TANIMOTO（タニモト）」（京田辺市三山木南山３３-１３）のデザインケーキ（完全予約制）です。

店頭でのケーキ・焼菓子の販売もあってこちらも美味しいのですが、やっぱりタニモトさんと言えば美しいデザインケーキをオーダーしたいところ！特別な日に特別なケーキ、素敵な思い出ができそうですね！

そして三山木と言えば、ケーキはもちろん「ビッグシュークリーム」（５枚目）が美味しいと評判の「Dimanche（ディマンシュ）」（京田辺市三山木中央１-９-１）も外せません！

サクッと香ばしい生地に、とろける美味しさのクリームがた～っぷり。夢見心地の美味しさです！

ほかにも京田辺にはケーキ屋さんやカフェ、和菓子店など人気のお店が色々あります。

ぜひ皆さんも色んなお店を訪れてみてはいかがでしょうか？

The dessert scene in the Miyamaki and Doshishayamate area of Kyotanabe City, Kyoto, is heating up right now!

So I went on a dessert crawl!

The 2nd pic is of a Joyo-grown fig tart (seasonal limited) from Impression Gateau Sucre’s main store, which moved from Joyo City in May of this year.

The sweet and elegant flavor was amazing. The freshness of the fig was truly captivating!

The 3rd pic is of a raspberry cake from Chef Nakagiri, which moved from Kizugawa City last year.

The rich flavor combined with the tartness of raspberries was just perfect. I was instantly hooked!

The 4th pic is of a custom-designed cake (by reservation only) from Tanimoto, which relocated within the city this June.

While you can buy delicious cakes and baked goods at the shop, Tanimoto is known for its beautiful custom-designed cakes. Special cake on a special day would be such a sweet memory, don’t you think?

And you can't miss Dimanche, which is famous for its big cream puff (5th pic) and delicious cakes.

The cream puff is crispy and fragrant outside, and is filled with fresh, rich cream. It’s simply heavenly!

There are many other popular cake shops, cafes, traditional Japanese confectionery stores and so on in Kyotanabe.

京都唯一の村、南山城村で素敵な時間を過ごしてきました！

自然豊かで空気もおいしい南山城。

お茶はもちろん、トマトやしいたけなどなど野菜も美味しいんですよ！

ということで、今回訪れたのは南山城村農林産物直売所！（２～５枚目）

緑に囲まれた素敵な場所で、ほのぼの楽しい気分でいっぱいに。

中へ入ると…

木の温もりあふれる空間に美味しそうなお茶や新鮮な野菜、手作り製品などが並んでました！

今回は名物の「しい玉焼き」をいただくことに。

ぱくっと一口食べてみると…

「おお、これは！」

一見たこ焼きのように見えますが、中にはタコの代わりに味付けされた原木しいたけが入ってます。

しいたけはごろっと肉厚で、いくらでも食べられそうな美味しさでした！

そして帰りに、自然を楽しみながら高山ダム（南山城村田山ツルギ４３）へ。（６枚目）

全国的にも珍しいアーチ重力式コンクリートダム！見られて良かった！

南山城村は、こんな感じでのんびりリフレッシュできる素敵な場所です。

ぜひ皆さんも訪れてみてはいかがでしょうか？

※村には恋愛成就などで知られる恋志谷神社（７～９枚目）などもありますよ！恋路橋（１０枚目）を渡って、「北海道」という地名の場所を過ぎて神社へ！お守りは９月２日（秋の大祭）・４月２日（春の大祭）に受けることができます。

I went to Minamiyamashiro Village, the only village in Kyoto!

This place is full of nature, and the air is fresh.

And tea, tomatoes, shiitake mushrooms, and other vegetables are delicious!

So, I visited the farm market in Kitaokawara.

It was a wonderful place surrounded by greenery, and I felt relaxed and happy!

Inside was a cozy wooden space with delicious tea, fresh veggies, handmade crafts, and more.

I tried their specialty, Shiitamayaki and I was like, "Oh, wow!"

It looked like takoyaki (a Japanese snack with octopus in it) at first glance, but instead of octopus, it had seasoned log-grown shiitake mushroom.

The shiitake was thick and juicy, and so good I could eat it forever!

On my way back, I headed to Takayama Dam while enjoying nature.

A rare arch-gravity dam! I was glad I got to see it!

Like this, Minamiyamashiro is a great place where you can relax and refresh. Come and enjoy!

As a side note, there is also Koishidani Shrine that is known for bringing about romantic relationships! Cross Koiji Bridge and visit the shrine. You can get the amulet on September 2nd, and April 2nd!

イチジクの生産量が京都府内ナンバーワンの城陽市で、「イチジクスタンプラリー2024」（9月末まで開催中）を楽しんでます！（皆さんは楽しまれてますか？）

まず訪れたのは「Hero’s Burger」さん（京都府城陽市枇杷庄鹿背田49-19）。

イチジクゴルゴンゾーラチーズバーガーには木村農園さんのイチジクが贅沢に使用されています。（2枚目）

食べてみると…お口の中があまじょっぱい＆ジューシーな美味しさでいっぱいに！

「う〜ん、幸せ！」「食べれて良かった！」

お次は直売所へレッツ・ゴー！

今回は城陽旬菜市直売所（京都府城陽市寺田島垣内73-6）で完熟イチジクをGET！（3枚目）

おっきなイチジク、大満喫！

「採れたて新鮮！」「美味しかった～！」（ぺろり。）

これでもう、2か所を巡ってスタンプラリー達成。

だけどまだまだ楽しみます！

続いて向かったのは、京都で唯一イチジク狩りが楽しめる観音堂農園センター（京都府城陽市観音堂甲田7-1／イチジク狩りは要予約）。（4枚目）

「色んな品種が味わえて嬉しい！」「自分で採ると美味しさ倍増！」

ますますイチジクの虜になっちゃいます！

8月25日（日）にはロゴスランドフェスタ＆城陽いちじくマルシェもありますよ！

Joyo City is the fig capital of Kyoto. Now I’m bringing you the fun from Joyo's stamp collecting event, which is being held until September 30th!

First, I tried the Fig Burger from Hero’s Burger. They use Kimura Farm’s figs! Sweet and savory, juicy delight!

Farmer's markets are a total must too. I bought ripe figs at Joyo Shunsai-ichi Direct Sales Market. They were huge and so juicy!

With two stamps, I had a chance to win a prize.

But I couldn’t stop!

Joyo has the only place in Kyoto where you can enjoy fig picking. (It’s located in Kannondo.) They have different varieties of figs, and that was fun! (Reservations are required.)

There are many other fascinating shops, events and so on to check out (the 5th photo). (These are past photos.)

There's also the Logos Land Festa on August 25th!

We hope you'll come to Joyo and enjoy the delicious figs straight from farms!

You can get Kyoto Joyo Fig Gourmet Guide and stamp collecting papers at Joyo City Hall, community centers in the city, and participating spots.

「美味しいひんやりスイーツが食べたいな〜。」「キレイな景色も楽しみたい！」

ということで今回は、「茶源郷」和束の石田長栄堂さんへレッツ・ゴー！

美しい茶畑風景を眺めながら楽しくドライブ！ルンルン気分でお店に到着〜。

お店の方に温かく迎えていただき（嬉しい！）、もちり棒（いちご・抹茶小豆・みかん）をGETして近くにある絶景スポット 石寺の茶畑（※）前へ！

キラキラ輝く太陽の下、美しい景観を眺めながら…ぱくっ。（シャリッ。）

「ん〜！最高！」「美味しい！」

もちり棒はアイスキャンディーみたいに凍っていて、しかももちもち、むっちりとした食感が楽しめます。

「何だかとってもクセになる～。」「食べごたえもあって大満足！」

上品な甘さの抹茶小豆や、いちご＆みかんの爽やかな風味も楽しいです。

他にも色んな味があったので、皆さんのお気に入りの味もぜひ教えて下さいね！

※石寺の茶畑は、日本遺産「日本茶800年の歴史散歩」の構成文化財です。京都府景観資産「宇治茶の郷 和束の茶畑」の景観の1つにもなっています。

“I want a delicious, cold treat.” “I wanna see beautiful scenery, too!”

That's why we decided to head to Ishida Choeido. It’s located in Wazuka Town in Kyoto, which is called Chagenkyo (Teatopia).

We enjoyed a drive while admiring beautiful tea plantations. How fun!

Then, we arrived at the shop. It’s a nice and welcoming place!

We bought the icy treats (strawberry, matcha with red bean, and mandarin orange), and brought them to a special place near the shop, where you can enjoy breathtaking views. Guess where?

It’s the tea plantations in Ishidera! This place is a part of the Japan Heritage (Japanese Tea: Eight Centuries of Tradition), and one of the Scenic Assets of Kyoto Prefecture.

Under the sparkling sun, we enjoyed the picturesque view while taking a bite!

"Oh, this is delicious!" "This really hit the spot!"

They are frozen like popsicles but have a chewy, elastic texture.

"I'm so hooked on them!" "They’re satisfying!"

The subtle sweetness of the matcha with red bean and the refreshing flavors of strawberry and mandarin are also delightful.

They have many other flavors, so please let me know your favorite!

皆様、今年の夏はいかがお過ごしでしょうか？

夏と言えば高校野球、青空、ひまわり、炭酸飲料など…「青春」というワードが頭をよぎったりもします。

「青春」の読み方は「せいしゅん」だったり、「アオハル」だったり。

今の若い方には「アオハル」の方がしっくりくるかもしれませんね。

実は、京都府南部の宇治田原町には「青春（あおはる）神社」（京都府綴喜郡宇治田原町奥山田）という珍しい名前の神社があるんですよ！

先日初めて訪れたのですが、その名前からふと学生時代のことを思い出しました。

キラキラしているだけじゃなく、色んな葛藤や切なさもあって…

だけどやっぱり楽しい思い出がいろいろ。

何とも言えない気持ちになります。

さてさて、青春神社は木々に囲まれた場所にあり、苔むしている雰囲気なども神秘的な所でした。

すぐ近くに小川が流れているのも印象的。

そして何と言っても、神社にお参りするとどこかスッキリした気分になるのが嬉しいです！

貴重な神社にお参りできて、残りの夏も気持ち良く過ごせそうです！

Hi everyone, how's summer treating you?

When I think of summer, I think of high school baseball, blue sky, sunflowers, and soda.

Yeah, a "youth" vibe, right?

We can say "youth" in Japanese as "seishun" or "aoharu."

I suppose "aoharu" sounds more familiar to young folks.

Then, guess what?

There's actually a shrine called "Aoharu Shrine" in Ujitawara Town, southern Kyoto!

I visited it for the first time this summer, and its name totally took me back to my school days.

You know, those times filled with not just beautiful sparkles but also lots of struggles and bittersweet feelings.

Yet, there are so many fun memories too.

It's a weird mix of feelings!

Anyway, the shrine is surrounded by trees and has this mossy, mysterious vibe.

There's a small stream nearby too, which is pretty nice and cool.

But the best part is, praying at a shrine always makes me feel refreshed!

I'm so glad I got to visit such a unique place.

It's definitely gonna make the rest of my summer awesome!

「夏の風情を感じたい！」「夏らしい思い出を作りたい！」

宇治川の鵜飼は、そんな方にもぴったりの夏の風物詩です。

夜風を感じながら舟に乗り込み、ゆらゆら揺られて…雰囲気たっぷり！

リンリンリン…と心震わす虫の声。

パチパチパチ…と水面に揺らめく舟のかがり火！

そして風折烏帽子や腰みのをまとった鵜匠さん（鵜を操る方々）や、元気に鳴き声を上げるウミウたち！

目の前で繰り広げられる伝統の技…鵜匠さんの巧みな手さばきには、思わず見とれてしまいます。（うっとり…。）

そうそう。

鵜匠さんは時々「ホ～～～！」と声掛けをされるのですが、これは「鵜の鳴き声を真似ている」とも言われているそうですよ！

鵜に注目してみると、ドンドンドン…と舟縁を叩く音に鼓舞されているように見えたり、「魚、捕まえた～！」なんて言ってるようにも感じられたり。

そんな宇治川の鵜飼は、『蜻蛉日記』の中にも登場するなど「平安時代にはすでに行われていた」と言われています。

現在、大河ドラマ「光る君へ」（NHK）などによって紫式部や平安時代に注目が集まっていますが、今こそ紫式部ゆかりの地・宇治市の鵜飼も楽しみたいですね！

Want to experience Japanese summer? Then, you gotta check out Cormorant Fishing on the Uji River!

A cormorant is a bird. In cormorant fishing, cormorant masters in traditional clothing manipulate them to catch fish. I bet it's perfect for getting you in the summer mood!

Imagine this: You're on a boat in the evening, feeling the breeze whipping through your hair. You hear insects. Everything feels peaceful. On the boat in front of you, there's a torch with crackling fire, casting flickering reflections on the water.

The cormorant masters’ skill is something else. It's like watching the historic tradition come to life right before your eyes.

You also hear the cormorant masters yell – apparently, that's how they mimic cormorants. Cormorants chirping excitedly might seem to be motivated by pounding on the boat. And sometimes it's like they're bragging, "I got a fish!"

Cormorant Fishing on the Uji River is an ancient tradition. It's even mentioned in The Gossamer Years (written around 974).

Now, get out there and make a fascinating summer memory in Uji, Kyoto!

今年もイチジクの季節がやってきましたね！

城陽市はイチジクの生産量が府内ナンバーワン。

市内の飲食店等では、生産地ならではの完熟イチジクの味わいを存分に味わうことができますよ！

みずみずしい果実をほおばると、濃密な甘さに包まれる！

豊かな香りがふわっと広がって、思わずうっとり〜。

ぷちぷち食感もとっても楽しい！

そんな美味しいイチジクを満喫したい方にご紹介したいのが、８月１日（木）〜９月３０日（月）に城陽市内で開催の「イチジクスタンプラリー2024」です！

なんと今回は１ヶ月早くスタートし、２ヶ月間の開催となっています。

市内の多数の飲食店・直売所・農園が参加されていて、人気店に話題のお店、和洋いろいろ…行きたい所がいっぱいです！

マルシェイベントやイチジク狩りも楽しめますよ！

Fig season is here again!

Joyo City is the fig capital of Kyoto, so you can savor the exquisite flavors of locally grown, perfectly ripe figs at restaurants, cafes and more all over the city!

「自然の中で遊びたい！」「夏はやっぱりバーベキュー！」

ということで今回は、井手町野外活動センター「大正池グリーンパーク」（京都府綴喜郡井手町多賀一ノ谷２０‐１）へレッツ・ゴー！

到着すると三角屋根のバンガローが並んでいて、早くもワクワク。（２枚目）

今回は日帰りで「もみじ谷サイト」を利用させて頂きます。（３枚目）

※テントを張って楽しめる「あかまつサイト」（４枚目）や「かじか谷サイト」（５枚目）もありますよ！

緑の木々に囲まれて、炭火でお肉や野菜をじゅーじゅー焼いて、ぱくっと食べると…

「ほっぺが落ちる〜！」「外で食べるバーベキューの味はやっぱり格別！」

炭火の香り、鳥のさえずり、蝉の声…そんな中、冷たい炭酸ドリンクをシュワッと喉に流し込むと気分は最高！

食後は池の周りを楽しく散策です。

木陰に入ると温度や湿度がガラリと変わったり、土の匂いがしてきたり…

「綺麗なトカゲ発見！しっぽが青い！」「こっちには立派なカエルが！」

そんな出会いも楽しいです。

他にも巨大なオタマジャクシにビックリしたり、魚を捕まえようと水面を飛ぶ鳥に見とれたり。

それから素敵な「願いのかけ橋」（８枚目）や、「浮御堂」（９枚目）もありますよ！

「浮御堂」で休憩していると、ひゅ〜っと風が吹き抜けて気持ち良い！

池の上にぷかぷか浮かんでいる気分で、美しい景色を眺める贅沢な時間…。心も体もリフレッシュ！

帰り道には「万灯呂山（まんどろやま）展望台」（京都府綴喜郡井手町多賀大峰）にも立ち寄って、壮観なパノラマビューを楽しみました。（１０枚目）

"I wanna feel nature!" "Summer is definitely bbq time!"

So we went to Taisho-ike Green Park in Ide Town.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by charming triangular bungalows.

On that day, we used the site of the 3rd pic.

There are tent sites (the 4th and 5th pics) available too.

Surrounded by lush greenery, we grilled meat and veggies over charcoal, savoring each bite that melted in our mouths!

Dining in nature was simply good. I liked the aroma of charcoal, the chirping of birds, and the buzzing of cicadas. Cold fizzy drinks were great too!

After lunch, we took a stroll around Taisho-ike pond.

As we stepped in the shade of trees, the temperature and humidity changed greatly, with the earthy scent filling the air.

Unexpected encounters were fun too. "Look at this beautiful lizard! It has a blue tail!" "There's a big frog over here too!" We were also amazed by giant tadpoles and a bird flying to catch a fish.

There was also a bridge that is said to grant only one wish. How nice!

Then, as we rested on the floating pavilion, the breeze made us feel so good and relaxed. Feeling like floating on the water, we gazed at the amazing scenery in luxury. We were totally refreshed!

On our way back, we enjoyed the panoramic view from Mantoro-yama Viewpoint near there.

８月２日（金）〜４日（日）、「京の七夕 in Uji」（＠宇治公園周辺・文化センター・茶づな・天ケ瀬ダム ほか）が開催予定です！

今年も宇治川エリアがライトアップされて幻想的な雰囲気に包まれますよ〜。

「わ、カラフル！」「あっちもキレイ！」

きっとそんなワクワクが待っています。

さらに日中にも特別な催しがあったり、七夕グルメが味わえる夜市（８月４日のみ）や、紙を水に浮かべると文字が浮かび上がってくる水占いなどなど…色んな楽しみ方ができちゃいます！

昨年も国内外の色んな方が参加されていましたよ！

とびきりの表情で撮影を楽しまれるお友達グループ、そっと願い事を笹に結ぶ学生さん、弾ける笑顔のちびっ子たち、家族の幸せを短冊に綴るパパさん・ママさんなどなど…。

浴衣姿で楽しむのも素敵だし、大切な人と訪れるとロマンチックな時間が過ごせそう！

そして８月３日（土）１６時〜２２時、宇治橋通り商店街では「スマイルサタデー クラフトビール夜市」も開催予定となっています！

名だたる醸造所が大集合。

「ぷは～っ！」とクラフトビールの飲み比べ！

商店街グルメも楽しめる！

夏の夜空の下、「今ここでしかできない体験」をぜひ満喫して下さいね！

Get ready for a magical event, Kyo no Tanabata in Uji! You can feel Japanese culture, too!

It's happening in and around the sightseeing area in Uji City from August 2nd to 4th.

The Uji River area will be lit up and enveloped in a dreamy atmosphere.

You might find yourself saying, "Wow, so colorful!" and "How beautiful!"

And there's more fun with special events during the day, a night market on Sunday, fortune-telling with words appearing on water, and so on!

Last year, people from Japan and abroad enjoyed this event.

I saw groups of friends taking wonderful photos of themselves, students writing their wishes on colorful papers and hanging them on a bamboo tree, kids with ear-to-ear grins, and parents writing wishes for their families’ happiness.

Wearing a yukata (a traditional summer garment like a kimono) would be awesome, and it'd be romantic to come with your special someone.

And there’s even more!

On August 3rd, from 4pm to 10pm, there's a big craft beer event on Ujibashidori Street (in the same area in Uji)!

Renowned breweries will gather in one place! How fun!

Why not savor various craft beers, and pair them with delicious food from this shopping street?

Under the summer evening sky, Uji will be the place for a unique and unforgettable experience. Don't miss it!

暑い夏、ひんやりスイーツが食べたくなってきた〜！

ということで今回は、美味しい涼を求めて「道の駅 お茶の京都 みなみやましろ村」へGO！

キラキラ太陽、吹き抜ける風。

豊かな自然に囲まれて、気分爽快。楽しいドライブ！

…ルンルン気分で到着したら、おいしい空気をたっぷり吸って、腕を伸ばして「やって来た〜」！

道の駅内には素敵な食堂もありますが、今回は食堂のそばの村茶屋へ。

さっそくメニューを見てみると、村の抹茶を使用したパフェやソフトクリームなどなど…色んなひんやりスイーツが！

そんな中から今回は、夏季限定の「ソフトかき氷（抹茶）」をいただきます！

早速ひと口食べてみると…

「う〜ん、幸せ！満たされる～！」

とろ〜りとろけるソフトクリームに、ヒヤッヒヤのかき氷。

贅沢な抹茶の味と香りが広がって、深〜い味わいに癒されます！

中には美味しいあんこもたっぷり。これって最高の組み合わせ！

「あ～、やっぱり来て良かった！」

もうすっかり満足してますが…

いえいえ、まだまだ終わりません！

おみやげ選びもとっても楽しい！

特産品のお茶はもちろん、魅惑的なお菓子などもずらり！

そうそう、村の採れたて野菜も美味しいんですよ〜！

欲しい物がありすぎて、つい夢中になっちゃいました！

It’s summer! I'm craving something icy cold and sweet to beat this heat!

I decided to head to the roadside rest area, Michi no Eki Ocha no Kyoto Minamiyamashiro Village.

Beautiful sunshine, wind whipping through my hair – perfect for a fun road trip!

Felt amazing pulling up. I took a deep breath of that fresh air, stretched out my arms, and was like, "Yes! Yes! Yes!"

There's a nice restaurant inside, but this time I checked out the Murachaya stand nearby.

They have a variety of cold treats, like parfait and soft serve made with matcha from the village.

I wanted to enjoy soft serve and shaved ice, so I went for one of their summer specials that had both.

First bite? Pure happiness! Melty soft serve blending with cold shaved ice, and the rich matcha flavor exploding in my mouth!

And hidden inside? Amazing, sweet red bean paste! What a perfect combo! I love it!

It was so refreshing and satisfying – definitely worth the trip!

But wait, there's more. Souvenir time is just as fun!

They have all sorts of the village’s specialties such as authentic teas and fresh veggies, and they also have tempting desserts made with tea, and more.

Everything looked so good, I almost went overboard shopping!

皆さんは木津川に架かる流れ橋（京都府久御山町・八幡市）をご存知でしょうか？

日本最長級の木造橋で、時代劇などの撮影でも使用されています。（「るろうに剣心 最終章 The Final」のロケ地にもなりました！）

正式名称は「上津屋橋（こうづやばし）」。

どうして「流れ橋」と呼ばれるかというと…

川が増水した際に橋が流れる（橋脚につながれた上部工ブロックが流れ出す）仕組みになっているんです！

そして、流された橋桁・橋板を橋脚の上に戻すことで復旧となります。

昨夏の台風でも流されましたが、その後復旧工事が行われ、５月１７日からまた渡れるようになりました！

ウキウキしながら見に行ってみると…

「きれいに復旧してる！」「おかえり、流れ橋！」

歩いてみると…

「風情があっていい雰囲気！」「木の橋ってやっぱり良いな～。」

周りの景色も楽しめました。

ちなみに 流れ橋と両岸上津屋・浜台の「浜茶」 は、日本遺産「日本茶800年の歴史散歩」の構成文化財。

そして 高品質てん茶の産地・八幡市〜流れ橋周辺に広がる浜茶の景観〜 は京都府景観資産として登録されているんですよ！

Let me introduce Nagarebashi bridge (it is officially called Kouzuyabashi) in Kumiyama Town and Yawata City in Kyoto.

It is over the Kizu River, and is one of the longest wooden bridges in Japan.

It is known as a historical drama filming location.

And here's the fascinating part about Nagarebashi.

It is designed to get washed away!

When the river floods, the top parts wired to the bridge drift apart, and then, they just put everything back together.

A typhoon washed them away last summer, but repairs are complete and the bridge reopened on May 17th.

So, why not go there?

I visited the bridge, and wow, they did an amazing job restoring it! (Welcome back, Nagarebashi!)

Walking across, I could really feel the nice, natural vibe of the wooden bridge.

Plus, the scenery around there was beautiful!

Actually, Nagarebashi and the surrounding tea plantations are a part of the Japan Heritage.

Moreover, the bridge and the nearby tea plantations in Yawata City are one of the Scenic Assets of Kyoto Prefecture.

This is a wonderful place to feel Japanese culture and nature!

ポケモンが描かれたマンホール蓋「ポケふた」が、宇治市の観光エリアに登場しました！

株式会社ポケモンが日本各地の魅力発信のために自治体に寄贈されている「ポケふた」。

それぞれ異なるデザインのものが現在、全国に３００以上設置されています。

そして今回、いよいよ宇治市に初登場！

２・３枚目は「お茶と宇治のまち歴史公園」（宇治市菟道丸山２０３－１）で見られる「ポケふた」です。

「まっちゃポケモン」の「ヤバソチャ」（左）と「チャデス」（右）が描かれていて、明るいカラーが目を引きます！

そして４・５枚目は、「宇治十帖モニュメント」前（朝霧橋の東側）の「ポケふた」！

描かれているのは「うさぎポケモン」の「ヒバニー」（左）と、「ぶちパンダポケモン」の「パッチール」（右）です。

ほっこり可愛いデザインですね～！

ここでしか見られない、世界に１つのマンホールたち。

思わず写真を撮りたくなります！

周辺には歴史ある寺社仏閣やお茶屋さん、宇治川の景色などなど見どころがいっぱい！

Uji City got Poké Lids in its sightseeing area for the first time!

Poké Lids are manhole covers featuring Pokémon.

The Pokémon Company donates them to local governments to help promote local attractions.

There are now over 300 Poké Lids across Japan, each with its own unique design.

And now you can see two Poké Lids here in Uji!

The 2nd & 3rd pics were taken at the Historical Park of Tea & Uji Land.

I liked the vibrant design featuring Sinistcha, and Poltchageist!

The 4th & 5th pics were taken in front of the monument of The Tale of Genji Uji-Jujo, located on the east side of Asagiri Bridge.

This one's adorable - it has Scorbunny, and Spinda!

These one-of-a-kind manhole covers are something you won't find anywhere else.

I couldn't help but take photos of them.

If you're interested, be sure to come and see them by yourself!

As a side note, the area around these Poké Lids is packed with Japanese tradition and history too!

Come for the Poké Lids, and enjoy wonderful temples, shrines, Uji Tea, views of the Uji River and so on!
