Tottori Sand Museum Project Show

The Sand Museum closes every year from January to March to create new sand sculptures. This year's 15th theme is France 🇫🇷, focusing on the French Revolution and its artistic charm. The exhibition runs from April 19, 2024, to January 5, 2025.

To celebrate the opening of the Osaka 2025 Expo, the 2025 theme will be Japan 🇯🇵, with the exhibition period from April 25, 2025, to January 4, 2026. Don’t miss it if you’re planning to visit!

❤️ From December 7 to December 22, 2024, a special Project show will be held at the Tottori Sand Museum.

🍁Autumn is the perfect season for enjoying the colorful leaves, and while you’re in San'in, don't forget to visit Izumo Grand Shrine. 📝Every November, during the lunar month of October, Izumo Grand Shrine holds the annual Kami Matsuri (Gathering of the Gods) to discuss the connections between people. This month is known as "Kamiarizuki" in Izumo, while the rest of Japan refers to it as "Kaminazuki."🙏

🗓️ Here’s the schedule for the 2024 Gathering of the Gods:

✅ Evening of November 10: A welcoming ceremony for the gods will take place at Inasa Beach, just a 5-minute drive from Izumo Grand Shrine,where eight million deities will gather.

It's that time of year again for red leaf viewing, and Tottori's best spot Mt. Daisen for autumn is definitely worth a visit.

🍁The best viewing period is from late October to early November.
Pic.2 was taken last week, red leaves haven’t started changing yet.

🚌You can take a bus from Yonago Station to Daisenji Temple. Alternatively, you can book a three-hour taxi from the Yonago Tourist Information Center
