Waso Nyiro river meaning a brown and muddy river in Samburu, shot between the three reserves is the only source of water that fuels lives to wildlife’s creatures and so in the most cases you will find animals parading as they stream toward the river for a drink, this is where you will expect drama of animal surprises by predators like Lion, Cheetah and Leopard. As if that’s not enough, the elephants will entertain further by trumpeting, dancing, swimming and wallowing along the river as the other animal elegantly watch peacefully.
Northern Kenya prove to be the area of diverse cultures and customs inhabited by peaceful and friendly tribal communities surviving in the most unhospitable, harsh and hostile environment, but that seems okay to this communities and their livestock’s being the only livelihood economy they depend upon.

The elephant migration just begun towards the highland parts of the country-Laikipia and Loroghi plateau. Samburu people who make up part of Maa community, form amongst the only tribes that still survive with their culture, custom and heritage in Northern Kenya . The clan is looking forward for a major ceremony of initiating new age set to assume the mantle of warrior hood-Moran. The current Morans are retiring and so it's the mandate of the tribe to initiate other youngsters through circumcision process to ascend to tribes army status [Lmuran].

Dallol currently holds the official record for record high average temperature for an inhabited location on Earth. Dallol is also one of the most remote places on Earth, although paved roads to the village of Hamedela, which is close, are being built. Still, the most important mode of transport besides jeeps are the camel caravans which travel to the area to collect salt.
I stumbled across this panorama I made from 7 different pictures by stitching them together. Since is has now 140 mega pixel, I can wait to see a large print of it. Lets say 3 meters..
