The raucous cry of the hadada ibis, a frequently repeated ah- ah aaah is one of the typical sounds of the African wilds. When first observed, the ibis may appear dull colored grey bird, but a nearer approach reveals that the wing coverts are bright iridescent green. The nest is a stick structure, lined with grass and sited in a tree or an isolated patch of papyrus. 3 or sometimes 4 eggs are laid.

Birding moments!

Birds tell us about the health of our lakes. While nature has provided a way for waterbirds to stop there, rest, and refuel, more work needs to be done to protect wetlands, we need to work together in order to reduce dangerous obstacles during bird's migration period.

A mystery bird call recorded at Kigio wildlife Conservancy this morning...the verdict is yours!!

We have just completed Eburu birding trip, Eburu is now our favorite place for Birdwatching, many tour guides are jobless at this time of the global pandemic, we have decided to meet up for such activities to share ideas, network and above all keep ourselves busy.
