The best place to see geysers & hot springs in Africa is Lake Bogoria, Kenya. In several locations around this lake can be seen more than 10 geysers. The best known here are Loburu Geysers. Lake water is twice as saline as seawater. Some 200 hot springs have water temperatures from 39 to 98.5° C.

We found this huge tall ant hill (Termite mound) during a safari trip, at the entrance of Lake Bogoria Park. Unlike other parks in Kenya, Bogoria is of hard access and not commonly visited by tour groups.

The Masai giraffe is also called Kilimanjaro giraffe. It is native to East Africa & it has distinctive, irregular, jagged, star-like blotches. We spotted this giraffe at Lake Nakuru National park. The park is also known to be one of the best places in Kenya to see leopards, and to have over 450 species of birds, making it a paradise for birders.
