When you come from the Coast, these are the packages our parents send from the village. These are called n**i. Not mn**i. Mn**i is the palm tree. Inside the n**i, we have coconut water. Sweet sugary water. No alcohol. Palm wine is tapped from the flowers of the tree not here. From these, you grate/blend the white fleshy part to get coconut milk. The shells which are the hard brown part can be used in many ways. Eg. Decorations, stirring spoons, fuel so much more. Coconut oil is also made from coconut milk. Also this is not a dafu. A dafu is coconut that is yet to mature. It has more water content and the flesh is soft as compared to this. It's outer shell is also green. Can you imagine coming from a place where people pay to come and visit. Karibuni Pwani hasa Kilifi County.

Got to see some incredible birds including: eagles,falcons,owls,goshawks,peckers etc..in addition to birds,the site has crocodiles, tortoises, monkeys and all types of snakes..
Never imagined that I would have a bird(vulture and hawk) land on my hand..An nice tour it was.

The Kayas were the first homesteads of the Mijikenda people after their exodus from Singwaya.
They also represented an important political symbol to the Mijikenda people as well as being an important cultural symbol to the Mijikenda people.

Today,as we celebrate the international Peace day,we are here,Kaya Godoma,miles and miles away within Ganze Sub-County.
Its a great experience of our culture.💃💃

Mijikenda is a rich and comprises of 9 Sub-tribes that share similar traditions but do vary sometimes.
The Mijikenda still practice their culture even though westernization has changed so many aspects.It is for this reason that i stand to tell the world about our culture so that it is not forgotten.
Still on this,i promote my culture to my people so that they can embrace and own it since many have been brainwashed and made to think that anyone who follows their culture is a witch or still lives in the stone age era.
